L. Burke's "The Early Years" series
minisinoo turned me on to a) Cylcops, b) writing plotty fics and c) writing well. No joke. I still want to be her if I grow up. But besides being one of the best writers out there (I mean it, I can't even!), Min & her partner in awesome, npkedit, collected & archived a fantastic Cyclops-centric series by L. Burke called The Early Years. I read at least half of these back in high school; they were one of my first tastes of fanfic. And despite not liking Cyclops very much then (I identified with him too much ^_^), I would literally LOL as I read them. So I was very appreciative when they popped back into my life after Min helped me realise the wonderfulness that is Scott.
As some of you may already know, Min's website, The Medicine Wheel is going away by June 10, 2010. *sigh* The Medicine Wheel is the only place that has all of L.Burke's series in one place. Min didn't want to to disappear; I didn't want it to disappear-- and thus a solution was born.
The Early Years is now archived at my website. Please update your bookmarks if you haven't already. Please, please, please give them a read especially if you love a) Cyclops or b) X-Men First Class. I haven't changed a thing except the table of content links. All the credit belongs to Min & Naomi. I just provided shelving.
