Quick and dirty journal update
1) nagi_schwarz wrote a kickass Scott and Remy fic for summers_fling. I could not have envisioned a better fic for my request. Thank you, thank you, a frillion times thank you!
2) Maki and Sashi got their shots two days ago. BabySister mad eit official: Our vet is Matt Damon.
Dr Damon: Maki and Sashi?
Katt: Yes?
BabySister: ...
Dr Damon: [talks small talk, physical check, gives puppies shots]
Katt: [talks small talk, holds puppies still, grins foolishly]
BabySister: ...
Dr Damon: [leaves room]
BabySister: ZOMG OUR VET IS MATT DAMON!!!!!
Katt: ZOMG I KNOW!
BabySister: OUR VET IS MATT DAMON AND HE'S SO HOT WITH NICE ARMS AND HIKING BOOTS!
Katt: ... Hiking boots?
BabySister: I didn't check if he had a ring though
Katt: He didn't
BabySister: ZOMG OUR VET IS MATT DAMON AND HE'S SO HOT AND SINGLE ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG!
Maki: owie
Sashi: I hate you all. You will be first against the wall when the revolution comes.
3) Maki had a wee reaction to the shots yesterday. Even Mom got worried because when they woke up, he was curled up in the corner shivering. He spent the entire day sleeping on the ottoman or the chair or the nearest floor, feeling sorry for himself.
4) Sashi LOVED Maki's condition at first (Yay! Not big, stupid, dog to bug me!) but then got bored after a while and tried in vain to bait him. When that didn't work, she tried to bait BabySister and Daddy. Unfortunately, there was a birthday party and she was kept in her room for a while so as to keep Wormie from spontaneously imploding with fear (he'd gotten chased down by a mastiff and is understandably afraid of dogs). She was MOST unimpressed.
