I wish I had an art studio. Even an art corner would do. I think I'd draw a lot more again if I had a place where I could set up all my equipment and take up a pencil or a paintbrush at will.
At the moment, if I want to draw, I have to
1) clear a table
2) pull out all my pencils and erasers
3) line them up according to hardness (I'm OCD, okay?)
all before I can even sit there and stare at a blank sheet of paper.
Painting is even worse. I have to
1) clear one side of the garage
2) pull out my ginourmous easel (my daddy made one 7-feet tall and that's why I love my daddy)
3) pull out a woodworking bench
4) pull out two tool boxes' worth of paint tubes (because I loooooove all the pretty colours and I don't care that I had to take colour theory)
5) pull out my paint thinner/water bottles
6) pull out my paint brushes
7) arrange #4-6 on the work bench
8) set up a canvas (this is assuming I've already bought one and didn't have to re-gesso or, God forbid, make a whole new one)
all before I can even sit there and stare at a blank canvas although if I've gone through 30 minutes' worth of set up, I'd BETTER already have a prelim ready.
Then after all of this, I have to put everything away when I'm done. *sighs*
Imagine if you had to set up the computer every time you wanted to write. Plug in the peripherals, re-install all the programs, set up the internet connection. It's just madness.
In conclusion, studio.
