New Comic Book Day
Went to the comicbook store yesterday and indeed bought Superman: Birthright which is SO made of awesome that it cannot be measured. Surgeon Generals everywhere have warned us about consuming this much awesome. Clark's first forays into being "Metropolis Clark" as opposed to "Real Clark" or "Kal-El", is wonderfully painted and Lois is sheer perfection. I think I'm getting a better understanding of her character. This bodes well for another damn Superman Returns novella but ill for the rest of my life.
I've also gone back to have a look at Elemental: Part III and-- lo! and behold!-- Alex scenes start streaming out of my fingers for an hour. Considering Alex!Muse and I were barely on spekaing terms a couple weeks ago, this is a Good Thing. He's not getting shot/knived/bombed or injured in anyway either. Alex!Muse thinks this is a Good Thing.
Haven't had time to read or write anything else though because my head simply refused to do anything creative after 3 PM. I casted other people in Elemental thinking that it would help fire something but to no avail. I downloaded a bunch Superman Returns pics hoping to make a masthead but it was not meant to be. My brain wants to do science now, plzthnxbai. It wants to slice something pickled in formaldehyde and memorise names with off Latin roots. It craves microscopes. It also craves coffee but it's almost bedtime and we really need to sleep normal human hours.
