Emo lifestyle?

well, I guess since everyone else I know writes to their LJ's on a daily basis, maybe I should start to at least write *something.* I was going to start this 20 mins ago (after I finished watching Big Top Pee Wee, lol... "why don'tcha take a picture, it'll last longer!!"), but then right when I typed in the url to open my page, I got a 911 call. A woman called to say her husband hurt himself pretty badly after falling in the potty room. I stayed on the phone with her just to be a good little dispatcher. Units are still on scene, so fingers crossed for now.

Anyway, let me cover some of the things that have been happening in my life lately. First, hanging out with Kristen, Nick and Guadalupe at the mall last week was crazy fun. We all bought copies of the Bible Game so we could all become mastahs at it and have crazy BG parties!!! j/k!! We went shopping in Danvers, had dinner, and went Laser Taggin'. Good times :)

Two or three days ago... I dunno... Tuesday, I went to Water Country with Kristen, Nick, Guadalupe, and Eric. The day could not have been better. It was like 95 degrees and very humid, but since we were submerged at all times, we pretty much dodged the bullet. Surprisingly, there were not too many lines. The longest line was for the Dragon's Den, but I think that's only because people kept getting stuck (OMG!! the ride was only 22 seconds long!!! ALERT THE INTERNETS!!!!). Probably not worth it really, but whatever, it's not like we had anything better to do. That Tiki Playhouse thing was cool though, they drop a vat of scolding hot tar... I mean, cool water... on you every 5 minutes. Eric and I went on more rides that the rest (and props to Lupe for joining us on Geronimo), but I think we all had a great day. Lazy river was the best!! I dropped the film off at CVS last night, I'm gonna check on it this evening. I swear I didn't take 27 photos, disposable cameras are lame. Oh well, at least I didn't get a sunburn.

In other news, I've been kinda going through some awkward and confusing times. Many of you know the story, but basically my relationship with Colette as I know it is tettering on the edge. I think we're both just stressed out about life not going the way we had hoped when we were kids. Money is tight, we're both underemployed, we're nervous about the conflict in the Mid-East (I just saw a clip on Terminator 2 were a nuclear event totally incinerates a group of kids playing at a park), and overall I think we're just feeling the effects of getting "old." Yes, I know 25 and 27 aren't the ages of walkers and dentures, but when you've been thinking you'd be married with 1 or 2 kids by now, you start to feel like somehow you're life is speeding by faster that it should be. Well, even though we're both a little anxious right now, we feel like it'll get better with time. We have a trip to Virginia planned at the end of this month, so we're hoping the change of scenery will do us good.

Given that, I just want all of my friends to know that I'm sorry if I'm snippy or short or if I have been, that I don't mean to be. I'm on a short fuse right now and it doesn't take much to make me really angry, so please don't take it personally. I'll be back to my old self in a few days, so just bare with me for the time being. Talking about normal-life stuff should help ease me back into a regular, sane person again.

Ok, this is long enough. I'll save other stories for another day. Talk to ya all soon!! ^_^
