Year in Review

Dec 11, 2007 17:43

I seem to be stealing a lot of memes recently, especially off 0bratja0^^ This is the Year in Review one, mine isn't particularly interesting, literally half of them are just me going "I'm sooooorrrryyyy, I'll update more often, I promise" XDD It's interesting going back over old posts though, they seem so long ago ^^

Go to your Calendar and find the first entry for each month of 2007 (not including memes of course). Post the first line/sentence of it in your journal, and that's your "Year in Review".

January
It seems that time is going really slowly at the moment. I haven't really had much to do, so I've mostly been reading, I now have about 20 pages left of the Fifth Elephant left to read and I'll have read all my books from Christmas.

February
I have a new toothbrush!

March
I haven't been online much at all recently and it's not even as if I've been doing much in particular, it's just the time seems to keep floating away, where it goes I don't really know!

April
I haven't been online much recently because I've actually been busy, and that surprises me more than anyone else, I assure you!

May
I've barely started study leave and already I've had enough and just want to go back to school!!!

June
It's been a while since I last bothered to make a post, I've been lazy more than anything really

July
I went to the beach! I'm really happy, it was great, it was a school trip and everything.

August
I'm pleased to report that I've finally been released from the burden of work experience ^^

September
Well, I went back to school last Wednesday and haven't been online much since then.

October
About time I updated, I've been really lazy recently, I just couldn't think of anything to write.

November
I'm just going to have to stop promising to come online more often, I really don't stick to it!

December
Anyway, Mr Chu's! YAY! Rather than worry about what to wear, I grabbed the most appropriate looking clothes in my wardrobe and dragged them on (after quickly beating off cat hairs!)

Well, that was exciting, wasn't it? Nice to see my year is mostly made up of me being lazy ^^ Says it all really.

Something else from 0bratja0

1. Leave me a casual comment of no particular significance, like a lyric to your current favorite song, your favorite kind of sandwich, or maybe your favorite game. Any remark, meaningless or not.
2. I will respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in your own post.
5. When others respond with a desultory comment, you will ask them five questions

1. What's your favourite place to hang out?
Hmm...well, I don't really hang out anywhere in particular! With my friends I guess I spend most of my time at Carla's house, or maybe Kev's. Well, there's always the farm at school, but I don't think that counts! The rest of the time I spend at home, being the anti-social creature that I am XD

2. What are your hobbies?
Hobbies...(I need thoughtful pauses whilst I consider the answer ^^) well there's always my violin, although I'm not sure I'd give it the status of hobby, more of a general nuisance that despite everything I still quite enjoy playing! There's also the good old karate lessons, they're always fun ^^ The rest of the time I guess all I do is read, a lot of manga recently, I've started reading Hana Kimi and it's really addictive ^^, and watching tv/anime, which is always a good way to spend time.

3. What's your favourite drink?
Ahh, drinks...in what sense are you meaning these hmm? I'll have you know I'm still underage XD Actually, I drink more tea than can really be good for me, and with enough sugar to rot the teeth with a mere sniff ^^ I don't really drink a lot else, to be honest I hardly drink anything at all, I'm a new species of camel I think XD If we're talking about "drinks" here, then I don't drink a lot of them either, but I've recently discovered Red Square, and it's really nice, fruity ^^ Though it has caffeine in it as well, never a good idea, I spent the night twitching last time I had some, I didn't even have much XD

4. What makes you feel nostalgic? :P
:P to you too ^^ I don't really do a lot of nostalgia, I guess it's just random things, like the Coca Cola Christmas advert, that always reminds me of being little! There's all the random songs from when I was young as well, the Barbie Girl one being the most obvious example, I remember singing and dancing to it ^^' It was my favourite song...*cough* The only other thing I can think of is when I walked down a street the other day which I hadn't been down for years and just remembered walking down there when I was little, a bit random, but it felt really...memorable! I can't explain it, it's only a street or so away from where I live, but I never need to walk down it, so seeing it again was weird.

5. Why do you like anime?
What a question XP How to answer it...I'm not even sure ^^ I guess I've always been attracted to the art style, since I had a pretty decent collection of anime-style pictures before I'd even watched any anime (other than the good old children classics *nostalgia*) The storylines as well I think are what've helped to draw me in, since one of the first series I started watching was Fullmetal Alchemist I definitely had a good start! For a first series it just blows you away, and might have made me a little more critical of other series than I should be, I expect the same quality in every way ^^ Though I've yet to find an anime that I've actually hated...nope, I tell a lie, I tried watching Gundam Seed and within about 5 minutes was longing for the end ^^ I'm not a mecha fan, I'm afraid ^^ But still, anime is great, and the characters just add to that, there are so many little traits that you won't find anywhere else, like occasional chibi-ness and the good old anger mark! It's just like nothing else, which I guess is why I like it. I think I can end it there XD
