I got into the Paris program!!!! It's only been something that I've been talking about for the past 5 years and now it's actually happening. I leave on August 20th!! Which is really very far away but I feel and I hope that these 8 months will just fly by.
It's pretty crazy that when you really set your mind to something it is all you see. Kind of like when you first fall in love with someone and you will find any way to relate things back to them. Same kind of relationship that I'm having with France in a way...either that or American television and culture is obsessed with French and French culture. Everyone on television is going to Paris. Ashton Kutcher has commercials for the Nikon camera that he's taking with him for his two weeks in Paris, the latest Victoria's Secret commercial is a tribute to Marie Antoinette and Versailles and the models all whisper something in French, and View from The Top was also on recently (weirdest movie I have ever seen) about Gwenyth Paltrow dreaming of being in Paris and then actually going there. I also just read Twilight (i know i have no shame) and the main character just met some vagabond vampires from France.
Well off topic but the reason I like Twilight is because it brings me back to 9th grade when I was obsessed with Roswell which I think the author most likely, probably watched. It's way too similar in so many aspects for her to not have been inspried by it.
Besides that I'm on vacation from work which is nice and tomorrow I plan to go to yoga in the city and then stuff my face at the most delicious restaurant in the world, Max Brenners.
