There's one thing I really don't like about this chapter, this I probably won't have time to update for a bit, ... nope don't like that a bit, it sucks. You can't take away an addict her daily fix :P
Jus kidding ... I got caught up in the whole Christmas craziness myself. Even if I'm a little bit late ... Merry Christmas!
Wonderful scene between Olivia and Natalia, you write them so well together, can't get enough of them. Olivias hand "problem" made me LOL ... poor little thing.
Can't wait for Natalias cooking and I wonder when she finds out that Olivia used to be a chef, but knowing Olivia that will take a while;-)
As for Gus, I do get his problems with Natalia spending alone time with Rafe, on the other hand I don't think it's his decision to make, it's Rafe. He is old enough to decide if he wants to get to know his real mother or not. And Harley needs to get over her fear to loose her son, because if she keeps him from Natalia and influences Gus from allow Rage time with Natalia, it will only ends in making Natalia more interesting and Rafe sneaking out to meet her anyway.
And I hope Olivia sticks to her honesty policy with Natalia and tells her about her talk with Gus.

Rafe is only 10... it's definitely still Gus's and Harley's decision to make... From Rafe's POV, Natalia's cool and all but he has no hole to fill, with a Dad, Mom and siblings. I wouldn't seek her out if I were him, unless I get pissed off with my parents, and think that she might take me in instead, that she would treat me different.

I have to admit I totally forgot that your Rafe is younger then on GL when the Otalia storyline started.
Still I think he should get the chance to know Natalia. And if he will ever see her as his mother is a different story. Maybe on a paper she's his mother, but in his heart. Movies make us believe it's simple and easy, in real life ... not easy.
I still think if his parents aren't allowing him to see her, she gets really interesting for him. It's not about filling a hole with Natalia for him if he is not aloud to see her, more doing something because your parents told you not to do it. Ever kid does it, the forbidden stuff is the interesting stuff ;-)
Just like this friend your parents always told you to stay away from, but instead you do the opposite and hang out together even more or secretly.
Sorry when I get a little bit carried away ... some personal experience.

hey no worries, I like to talk these things out, it makes what I write realistic. I think from so many characters' POV sometimes, I forget that there are MORE POVs out there, so it's good for me to get feedback.

yes I agree that forbidden is always interesting, but there are SO many ways I can not let my kid see someone I don't want them to see without actually forbidding them to see them. Rafe doesn't have any attachments to Natalia; he's seen her less than a handful of times. The only reason I would think that he would want to go to Natalia is if he falls out with Harley, "You're not my real Mom, Natalia is!" type fight, and goes off looking for Natalia to rescue him. (perhaps only to find out that Natalia would have done the same thing, and that would be it.)

oh, forgot to add:

Still I think he should get the chance to know Natalia.

yeah but I'm writing from Gus's and Harley's POV, not mine... ;p

That's true. And quite honestly Rafe or Gus/Harley's parenting is not exactly the reason I read this story ... I want to learn more about your ... ops ... Mallets stalker mind :P
