Standing...under a road
A lot has happened this past weekend.
Good times, sad times, frustrated me times.
Linda and Elise came up and stayed with me Thursday night.
Linda and I stayed up really late, but I finally had to get some sleep so I could survive class the next morning.
I woke up early to get Linda and Elise checked out of my dorm, came back to take a shower, went to class(nearly fell asleep), packed my bags, and then we left Bowling Green for St Louis.
I was originally going to go see Kill Hannah in Nashville but the show was 21 and over so Elise and Linda wouldn't have been able to get in.
We ended up getting into St. Louis, finding our hotel(very nice place), got things together and then went to Mississippi Nights to see the Maxtone 4, Lightheaded, and The Adored(formerly Fly Nova). Very good show, I was still unhappy about not seeing Kill Hannah but still a good show. We got free tickets and we bought their EP they had for sale. Bullet In An Angel is a very very good song.
I woke up early the next morning, took a shower, get got all our stuff together and then ventured to try to find The Pageant to see Evanescence, Cold, REVIS!!!!, and Cauterized.
After not being able to take the exit we were supposed to, we drove around and finally found it. We waited in line forever, finally got in, I showed them my id and it took them 5 mins to check it. I swear I hate not looking my age sometimes. We got really good spots. We watched Cauterized, then revis(amazing show!!!!), then we got out so the boys could sign our cd inserts. They didn't remember me...surprise...but they were really cool. Justin, Nathaniel, and Bob cut their hair. They look very different to me, still cool though. We hung out by the merch table the rest of the show. I danced, sang, drank sprite. Good times.
We tried to walk down to Cicero's to see The Adored after the show but we didn't see anyone who looked like they were going to the show so we just went back.
It was a long night, I was really tired.
We woke up not long before we had to check out the next day. I just threw on some clothes(my Kill Hannah tank top and some jeans) so we could just pack up and leave. We didn't have directions back to Kentucky but we figured we'd figure it out. We were on the road, turned around, tried to catch Radiohead's tourbus, but just ended up not catching it and we were in St. Louis again. We stopped by Mississippi Nights, took a picture, then tried to get out of St. Louis again. This time we left. Although we ended up getting kinda lost. I had to call Charley for directions. We bothered Charley so much this weekend asking for directions, addresses, and stuff. We really appreciated it all...THANK YOU CHARLEY!!!!
We made it back to my dorm, I got unpacked, called home, and started the new week.
Nothing exciting has been going on now.
Things are boring and I'm not in the happiest of moods.
I'm sure "This too shall pass,"
It's gonna be a long week.
I wish I had a lot of money...I know that's random, but if I had plenty of money I'd take a semester off and travel. I think it'd be really good for me right now. Oh well.
