WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!
Yes that's right, we are the champions. We had our final games today. Yes I said games. See we played at noon today and if we had of won that we would have been champions. Had we lost, which we did, we'd have to play another game after that one cause we hadn't lost a game yet and this was a double knock out tournament.
We lost our first game 21-6. Yes we got killed. We were just WAY too uptight. We wanted to win so badly we were getting frustrated and down on ourselves too easily and too quickly. I went 1 for 3 in that game, with 2 strikeouts and a walk. So that put my record at 6 for 10 with an average of 600 for the playoffs, and 45 for 68 with an average of 662 overall.
Our next game was at 2:30pm. It was a much better game. We were more relaxed, and having more fun. Some of the pressure had been lifted off of us. We got the first game out of the way, now we had a fresh new start. We just had to put the first game behind us. We did just that. We won 6-5. We managed to hold on in the last inning to take the win. Oh it felt so damn good to win! I went 1 for 3 again, with one strikeout. So my final playoff record is 7 for 13, with an average of 539. Making my overall record 46 for 71, with an average of 648. That's pretty good for the season.
I am SOOOOOOO HAPPY we won! We are now league and playoffs champions! YAY GREEN!
Now I'm off to have a shower, cause I'm all hot, sticky, and dirty.
