"No need to thank me. I’m just following through on what I promised," Callie say’s quietly as the two stand together watching Sofia sleep soundly in her crib.

Arizona wraps her arm around Callie's waist, stroking with her thumb. "I know you promised but I was still worried. I love her so much. The thought that someone could take her away from me and I would have absolutely no say..." Arizona trails off as she turns into Callie and buries her face into her chest, sobbing quietly.

Callie gently leads Arizona out of Sofia's room, not wanting to wake her. They settle on the couch as Arizona burrows even deeper in their embrace. "I didn't know this was haunting you so much, honey. We will get that paper tomorrow. I promise. You're her Mama. No one will take that away from you." She rubs Arizona's back. "You're her Mama." She repeats over and over again, trying to soothe her wife.

When Arizona finally pulls herself together, she pulls away and gently kisses Callie on the lips. "Thank you. I love you." She whispers so quietly that Callie nearly misses it.

"I love you too." Callie responds, kissing her once again.

She snatched the muffin from his hand in response. "That muffin is for Arizona!" Callie said angrily. "What are you even doing here, Mark? It's before seven in the morning for christ's sake!"

"I came to see my daughter. Remember? Sofia. I'm her father." He says, a little too loudly.

Callie takes a deep breath. "I know she is your daughter. Today is her day with her Mama and her Mami. Your day is tomorrow. You know this Mark!"

"You and Robbins get to be with Sofia all the time! She isn't even relat--" Mark is suddenly stopped by a slap across the face delivered by Callie.

"Don't." She says angrily. "Don't you dare trivialize Arizona's place in Sofia's life. She is her Mama. Just as important as you and I. She loves that baby with every cell in her body. You have no right to come in here and make demands. We may have not gone to court, but if this keeps up, Mark, so help me God I will hire a lawyer and make a schedule that will not be nearly as generous or flexible as the one we have." With that, Mark storms out of the apartment, slamming the door behind him.

Suddenly, arms wrap around Callie from behind. She startles slightly before she smells Arizona's perfume and her body relaxes. Arizona kisses the back of her neck. "Thank you." she whispers in Callie's ear. Callie smiles. No more words are needed.

Alex isn’t sure how long; he’s busy pacing, and shouting why the hell haven’t they found them yet?

Callie looks up at Alex. Anger flashing in her eyes. "So now you care?" She demands.

"What? What do you mean, 'Now I care?'" He asks, looking appalled.

Callie walks up to Alex and backs him up against the wall. "She shouldn't even have been on that plane! This is YOUR fault. If she doesn't come back, I swear to you, I will break EVERY bone in your body. And then mend them back together so I can break them again."

Alex looks at the fire in Callie's eyes. He believes every word. "I didn't... I always cared. She's the only one to ever believe in me." He can't look into Callie's eyes any longer. He looks down at his own feet as Callie backs away. She sees it. He is just as upset as she is.

"She'll be ok. She has to be ok." Callie whispers to him. "Sofia needs her mama. I need her mama."

Alex chokes back a sob as he quickly wipes the tears from his eyes. "I'm sorry Torres. I wasn't going to go to Hopkins. I was flattered but Robbins, she --"

"I know, Alex." Callie mutters quietly. "I know."

“It's not funny,” Arizona yelled.

Callie kept laughing. The more angry and frustrated Arizona got, the more she laughed. Tears were streaming down her face. "Oh, come on Arizona! It was bound to happen!"

Arizona got off the bed quickly and started putting her clothes back on. Callie stopped laughing. "Um. Where are you going?"

"You think it is funny that Mark "Man whore" Sloan just walked in on us having sex?! You don't see the bad here? He didn't even have the decency to walk out quietly! He asked to join in!" Arizona bent down and grabbed her shoes. "When will you set that boundary, Callie? He walked in. Right into our bedroom. No knocking. Nothing." Arizona stormed out of the bedroom, slamming the door.

"Fuck." Callie muttered. She got up quickly, wrapping the sheet around herself and chasing after Arizona. She stopped just as she got through the door. Arizona was on top of Mark Sloan, beating against his chest.

"Whoa, Blondie! What? You didn't get to finish?" He grabbed her wrists to stop her from continuing and chuckled.

Callie gripped the sheet tighter to her chest. "Mark, what the hell are you still doing in here?"

"I needed coffee. I was out." Arizona ripped her wrists out of his grip and turned to leave.

"Arizona. Wait. Please." Callie walked up to Arizona and gently grabbed her hand. "Mark, get the fuck out. I gave you a key for emergencies. Coffee? Not an emergency."

Mark looked at Callie, pouting. "What? Is this because I saw Blondie's boobs? They're really nice by the way. Good job, Torres." He winked.

Callie released Arizona's hand, walked up to Mark and grabbed his ear, pulling him out the door. "Out. I want my key back tomorrow." She slams the door in his face and fastens the chain. She turns to look at Arizona. "I'm sorry." She says quietly.

Arizona walks up to her, smiles and grabs her hand. "Let's go back to bed."

The minutes tick by, each one she’s sure longer than 60 seconds.

Where is the ambulance? She thinks to herself. "Callie... hold on Baby. I'm so... so sorry." She looks at Callie, laying on the hood of the car. She sees her sputter blood from her mouth. What about the baby? Arizona stops her pacing. Looking right into Callie's eyes. She sees how scared she is. She can see the pain.

She hears them. The sirens. She rips her gaze from Callie and frantically looks to see the ambulance rushing towards them. "Here! We're here! Help us!"
She screams while flailing her arms in the air.

She watches as the paramedics jump out of the ambulance and rush towards Callie. "She's pregnant." she shouts over the sirens. Tears are streaming down her face. She wants to help but knows she is in no state to do so. "We need to get her to Seattle Grace Mercy West - now." She demands.

"Look, lady... your friend -- "

"Fiancé." She interrupts. Even though Callie didn't answer, she had to believe she would have said yes. "She is my fiancé."

"Um... ok. Look, we know what to do. Just stand back." They gently extract Callie from the windshield. She is still conscious and groans in pain as they get her on the gurney and stabilize her. "Let's load her up. Um... Miss...?" He looks at Arizona expectantly.

"Doctor. Doctor Robbins. And I am coming with you." She doesn't wait for an answer as she jumps in the back of the ambulance and stays out of the way so they can load Callie in. She looks into her eyes. "I love you baby. Please... live. Live for me. And our baby. Please." She gently kisses her forehead and pulls back. She sees the panic in Callie's eyes reside a little and sees the love shining back.

"I wanted to make sure you were still alive." Arizona whispers quietly to a wide-eyed Callie.

"What?" Callie's voice breaks. She woke up to find Arizona leaning over her and staring.

"I... I woke up from a nightmare. You... died... in the...c-c-car" Arizona trails off as she starts sobbing.

Callie quickly wraps her arms and legs around Arizona and pulls her closer. "Oh, honey. I'm right here. I survived. Sofia survived. We're here baby." She rubs her back gently, hearing the sobs and murmurs of It's my fault being whispered over and over again. It breaks Callie's heart. "Oh, Sweetheart." She whispers. "Not your fault. None of it was your fault." Callie squeezes her eyes tightly shut, trying to stop herself from crying. She never considered the toll the accident would have taken on her partner. She had no idea she was holding on to so much guilt.

Callie continues to whisper reassuring words as she feels Arizona's body begin to relax. Her sobs trail off and Callie pulls back and looks into the red-rimmed eyes of her wife. "Arizona?" Callie wipes the trail of tears on her cheek and leans in to kiss it away.

"I'm so sorry Callie. I'm ok." Arizona straightens up and begins to pull away.

Callie pulls her back into her embrace. "Come here. Don't. You have nothing to be ashamed about. Or feel guilty about."

Arizona burrows closer and let's the tears fall again. She doesn't believe it. She can't. But for now, this is enough. She quiets down, falling into a dreamless state. Callie gently lies back, never letting go of Arizona, and quietly cries for the pain she sees her partner in. "Not your fault, baby. I love you." She whispers in her ear, closing her eyes and following her into slumber.
