so I was on amazon.com just now and I found a ZZ Top tribute CD. what's horrible about it is that all the songs are done by the worst country singers you could imagine. all these badass songs have been butchered by redneck, slcakjawed hillbilly pieces of shit. I listened to samples of each song. not one sounds even half-way decent or badass. ZZ Top is a rock band, not a fuckin country band. fiddles have no rigt being in a ZZ Top song. I'm unbelievable pissed off about this. I'm gonna start killing people. Tribute albums are the worst idea. nobody wants to hear their favorite band's songs get butchered by other people. seriously. and if a band IS gonna cover a badass song, do it right. do it like the original, if not better. slowing it down, adding extra instrument, and toning down the badassness of the song is completely unecessary and uncalled for. this is ridiculous. it's upsetting. ZZ Top is incredibly badass. country covers of ZZ Top is incredibly suck-ass. I hate people.
