Feline Infection Peritonitis (FIP)
Monty update 2:00pm
This morning I woke up to Monty waking up to come and hang out with me and visit. Mewed a little bit at me. He was asking for food, so I got some turkey out of the fridge and he gobbled it up. Alex informed me at 4:30am Monty bugged him for food as well and ate it, but that he couldn't find the hole in his litter box.
He's drinking on his own as well.
I am force feeding him a bit as he's still very skinny. Vit. C is being given 2 times a day 250mg each dose. I spread it out because your body gets rid of the extra vit. c it doesn't need so I figured if I split it that might be all the more he gets in his system. Vit. c. is a anti-viral and anti-inflammatory.
However he's going blind. Unsure if its because of the FIP which can effect the eyes or if its because he's low on taurine. His legs are a little bit wobbly. Unsure if that is an effect from neurological problems FIP can cause as well or if its because he can't see and is unsure of his steps.
Waiting patiently for herbs and things to show up.
So far his belly bloating has gone down significantly! :) I give that credit to vit. C. :)
