and as struck as i am..this seems so simple to me..
though we're future tense this makes perfect sense..
in my mind i know..in my mind i see...
everything you could be to me...

and though circumstance..
keeps away our chance...
if we take what we get..i will gladly bet
that this is a summer we'll never forget

so when we think of the nights..in which i'll hold u tight...
or the numerous days where the sun shined so bright
i profundly will say that i know this is true...
this summer is best with nobody but you..

so we'll lay in the sand and gaze at the skies..
and i'll look to my right, see your beautiful eyes..
and wish i could be with u for lows and the highs..
i wish u were my girl and i was your guy..
