As many of you know, for the past two weeks there has been negative "secrets" about me. The first one,
here, I was fine with. It was ridiculous and not true, and if they said it in a PM to me I would have been fine with it. Besides, if anybody did comment on every single person's pictures in the Photographs section on GOS before them it would

Funny you're posting this right now, because I was writing down my reply for your simstoryteller's interview. I had it bookmarked for a moment in which I'd have enough time to read it with no interruptions :).
The secret maker is an asshole. Period. They are the ones who cowardly attacked you behind the anonymity of an LJ secret. They didn't care about your feelings, either.
I've read some of your posts on Garden of Shadows, and while sometimes you can be a bit "blunt" (as in, you don't "sugar coat" your opinions and disagreements with other members), you've never been disrespectful or hurtful. Quite the opposite. You're one of the most helpful people I've met in the sims community.
I guess some people, like the secret maker, are just intolerant, considering that their first reaction when faced with someone with a different opinion or point of view is to scream "STFU and GTFO!".
Both in your interview and in this post, you've commented about your condition as someone with Aspergers. From my work experience, I can almost understand what you mean about your difficulties relating with other people, of understanding the subtleties in a conversation and so on.
I'm not saying this just because you're my friend, but I actually admire how you handle your situation. Unlike lots of idiots that use their self-diagnosed Asperger to justify their rude behavior on the Internet, you are making an effort to be the opposite.
And not only in the Internet-land. I read about your work in your college, how you've been in several chorus, your jewelry pastime and it's inspiring how passionate you are about the things you love. You've managed to transmit it, at least to me.
Do not feel that you have the "Autism" label slapped on your forehead, because that's not true. Personally, I hate labels, because they enclose a person's essence inside a very small box.
You're Van, a girl with likes, dislikes and a unique personality. You have character traits and flaws, but so do I, and everyone else in this world. Keep focusing on your strong assets, as I've seen you do since I met you.
I'm glad you're not letting that asshole affect you more than they deserve. And thanks for opening your world to us :)
I enjoyed your interview so much. And these pictures are pretty too! Gotta love Bunker, I'm on the verge of adding him to my legacy (even if it wouldn't make sense :P).
*Hugs*
