anyway, i kinda decided last friday that i would go visit my parents since my dad has wanted me to visit for a long time now and because i don't know how much free time i'll have once i start working at liz ryan. for those of you who don't know, millville is getting a new jewelry store called liz ryan gemstones on high street, and it will be my new work place. yes, i have quit my job at the museum for the time being (although they have told me to come back whenever i want) and will now be working in millville...no longer that commute to philly and i have health insurance, yippie! but back to my parents...i went up on monday and came back earlier this afternoon. the drive wasn't too bad either way and it was nice to see them, even though i had just seen my mom at my cousin's wedding in michigan at the end of july. we went kayaking and it was a real workout, but really fun...more incentive for me to go back again. also while i was there, the possibility of me getting a new car was brought up....yay!!!!!!!! i'll be paying for the monthly payments and the insurance, but my parents are going to help me out with the down payment, which i will then begin to pay back very soon because i hate being in debt to anyone (even if it's family).
besides all of that, nothing else is really going on. i spoke to steve for a while last week and it was nice since we hadn't talked on the phone in quite some time. sean and i went out to dinner and saw the skeleton key last friday. dinner was good and the movie was ok, the majority of the movie you were wondering why she was still hanging around in this house...but the ending was really pretty good. and as always, i jumped a little bit, but there was no screaming this time. saturday i went over to andrew and don's for some good times, and good times were had. sunday i spent being lazy and watching movies with eileen...we walked to wawa three times, lol.
this weekend should be pretty fun. tomorrow is third friday and even though liz ryan won't be selling anything, as the store is not officially opened, we will have some displays in the window and will also be letting people in for a sneak peek. yay for getting paid to have fun! saturday is both brett and lauren's parties. i will be stopping by both and it looks like there will be good food at both as well, yay for that too! no plans for sunday as of yet, but i'm sure some of it will involve sleeping in.
