He had planned to surprise Dawn and ask her out on a date. He hadn’t planned on being surprised with the news Dawnie was Spike’s spawn or for Spike to threaten to eviscerate him if he even dreamt about her.
Dawn smiled at Xander’s sputtering “That can’t be!” and “Tell me this is one of your sick jokes Dawnie!”
Spike smirked. “Now where do you think she got her sense of humor Whelp?”
Xander sat down. “Oh gods, it’s true! So that means you’re half demon… Why can’t I fall for totally human girls?”
Identical smirks were his only answer.
