well,
these past two weeks or so have been fairly decent. amanda and i bought a beta fish and named him lawrence. he lives at my house, and he is pretty badass. when i feed the little guy, he gets so excited. so much cooler than a lame goldfish.
let's see, thurday night i was supposed to take a physics exam, but i told my professor my older brother was getting married in lancaster, pennsylvania (a total lie, which led him to believe i was a mormon) to see bear vs. shark/since by man/the fall of troy in philly. it was a pretty solid show, and i had a good time. i also bought since by man's new record there and it is really good. it is good to see a band push the boundaries of hardcore/art punk.
friday night a bunch of people came over so we could go to eddie's birthday/halloween bash. i dressed up like an 80's dragon slayer (sorry, i don't pictures; let's just say it was really badass) and amanda dressed up like my 80's chick. the problem was, milo (who was drunk) was navigating, and frankie (who just got his license) was driving. so we drove around matawan for like an hour and a half, and then just decided to go back to my house.
saturday i saw Saw II and it was gloreous (spelled wrong intentionally). saturday night i picked up amanda and we went to some halloween party where everyone was shakin' their booty and listening to loud rap music. i lasted for about an hour or so before i wanted to be one of the victims in saw II.
after that we went to the diner, and amanda wasn't exactly wearing any clothing, so all the waitresses sort of gave us a hard time and it was real annoying.
sunday, i bought the new curl up and die and matt loaned me the new vaux and emo and i smoked cigars before we went to see GEORGE FUCKING CARLIN. it was amazing, that guy has to be getting pretty up there in age, but he is still as quick as a whip. his jokes and routines are so elaborate and clever, that people asked me for the next few days to recite some, and i honestly couldn't. what a guy.
monday i hung out with amanda, and drank some cheap rum and jagermeister until emo, matt, erica, marty, and frankie came over so we could head to the thrice halloween show at starland. overall, it was pretty cool considering the type of kids who come to underoath and the bled shows, but i was drunk so i could handle it. thrice was amazing, and just about as amazing as the first time i saw them like 4 years ago when they were supporting "the illusion of safety" (which still remains one of my all-time favorite records). i wouldn't have spent my halloween any other way.
alright, this week has been very busy at school, and very lame and uneventful at that, and i have to go to my vocal lesson in like an hour, so i will end this rant.
take it easy internet kids.
