hot damn,
i haven't updated this motherfucker in a while. i suppose a lot has happened?
let's see, my laptop is officially dying on me. there is something wrong with the graphics processor or something lame to that effect, and it takes me around 40 minutes of random button-pushing to turn it back on. luckily, all my keyboard keys are virtually broken as well. fuck it. i think i am getting an apple as soon as i can figure out how to sell this piece of worthless and get some money.
regardless, that was a lame way to start this entry. the end of the summer was truly awesome for me. i totally laid off the drinking to the best of my ability. i probably wouldn't have been able to do it without amanda, because she is basically the only person who can keep me 100% happy while i'm sober. but, waking up with her on summer mornings is probably the closest i have ever been to knowing what robert smith is singing about in "just like heaven". i seriously haven't felt this way about anyone in 2 years, and it is such a badass feeling.
my band is also recording a 6-song ep at underground sound studios, and it is sounding pretty killer so far. finally, we are going to have a recording we are happy with, and we are all way psyched. it should be done by the end of october, so hold onto your seats kids. we are also changing our name, because the original "white line fever" from washington state threatened to sue us for copyright infringement. i don't really care anyway, we all got tired of everyone thinking we were total cokeheads.
oh yeah, i fuckin' started classes at monmouth again. they aren't too bad so far, but i decided this is going to be my last semester there, and i'll be making the move to new brunswick to hit up rutgers. i am hoping to get a house there, because i have a decent amount of friends that are going there as well, so hopefully all that jazz works out.
oh god, i am so psyched for fall, too. i absolutely hate humidity, and i absolutely love both fall and spring, so i should be in a fairly good mood for the next few months.
there are lots of shows coming up, i have been doing lots of writing, lots of reading, lots of running, lots of partying, lots of lovin', and basically things are looking pretty good for me as of late.
