Heather Ale
Finished up and bottled my Heather Ale tonight. Wasn't the most economical batch of beer I've made (was very, very grain-heavy) but from the samples I took during bottling, it's very promising. Was missing a couple ingredients that my local supplier didn't have (meadowsweet and sweet gale), and I've since learned that both really help to compliment and balance the heather, so I may try this again down the road, after securing these extra ingredients. Final ABV is 12.5%, so this ale really packs a whallop! /^|..|^\ Have been naming my beers after video game themes (last one was Electric Gutbuster; points if you know the reference). Have been thinking of either "Eternal Refrain", or "Drakesbane" for this one. Got a couple weeks to decide while it's aging. /^|..|^\
