Well, did anyone doubt that I would be out every single night so far this year?
C'mon... anyone?
Well I am finally taking tonight off.
Last weekend I went to RubySkye for Digweed and Tanaglia on Friday and Saturday night Respectively.
Friday:
Went to see Digweed and he did a so-so set. Not what I was used to for him, he seems to have lost a bit of his talent or touch in the last year. Great night anyhow and ran into some real winners. My favorite of the night was the guy who put his cigarette out in his dates drink which was placed next to an ashtray. I am unsure if he realized this but is was funny nonetheless to see the date take a sip only to spew her drink onto an unsuspecting passerby. I missed the exact wordage but the mini-drama that played out after that was fun to watch and concluded with the date dumping the now defiled drink over the guys head.
Dancing and minding my own business on the floor and I start to smell the familiar smell of pot. I hate the smell and I get a headache rather quickly so I decided to migrate away from it. It followed me and got stronger. I turn around and see a white guy with bad dreads just totally stoned and coming toward me. He commented that he liked my dancing and offered me his joint. Problem was we were now at the bar. I am not sure if his feet touched the ground as security whisked him away. Moron!
Saturday:
Tanaglia was putting on a 12 hour set from Midnight till noon. So I went to a few other places first then I arrived at Tanaglia just before 3am and had a total ball. I got home around 8 or so (I think). A group of people I met there and I went to Jack-in-the-Box across the street a couple times to get food and coffee then return, that was fun. Overall great night. Place was still jumping when I left but I had a work-thing at noon on Sunday so I needed some sleep. Nothing really interesting except that I stayed on the dance floor most of the night while there and really enjoyed myself.
Sunday:
Did my work thing then went out to a few places. Had fun, got home around 4am and to sleep by 5am, only to wake up at 7:30am to get to work on time. Needless to say I did not go out tonight, I took a nap once I got home at 7pm and just woke up a little while ago. And now I am off to bed again.
