In general, my pens don't run out of ink. I use them until I lose them, or lend them out and not have them return. But this pen, this month, I ran out of ink.
Hard, consistent work across the weeks. A fantastic medical student. Some excellent, memorable patients. Month 2 of 3. Dual diagnosis team starting Monday. A different type of patient, of course. A necessary part of learning. One more month of psychiatry and then dive back to the world of internal medicine for three more months. Then the journey downtown, to the other campus, where we get started fresh and new all over again.
Zebo is staying at our house, and it's a small sample of what it would be like to have a dog; though he is older now. My parents are with my brother and sister-in-law, their first visit to see them since they moved last year.
This weekend I will not be working.
