Driving a car is some next level science fiction shit.
The physical act of driving does not correlate directly to what is actually happening in the world as a result.
I was tripping out on this at 5am, or so, 3 hours into my driving shift, when I was tired as fuck, snacking on about my 10,000th goji berry, listening to the 'Clinic' CD for the 8th time on repeat...all the while, bombing at 70mph in a huge van full of gear.
Riding a bike has a direct correlation. So does walking and jogging. You exert more, you go faster.
I tripped out on this when I first started driving at 15, too. I'd be driving down the freeway, guiding my car with only my thumb, thinking, "I'm going 65mph in a big fucking car, and all I have to do is use my THUMB to control this motherfucker?"
