So my mom works for a construction company, and she told me the other day that she got a job offer in London. She asked me how I felt about it, and of course I freaked the fuck out. I mean, I couldn't just leave everyone! I still have to finish school here, and there's no way I'm leaving the rest of the family. Can you imagine relocating to London from Texas? Ha ha, I don't even want to comprehend the jokes.
She ended up turning down the position, even though it pays $130,000 a year. o_o I'm sure if we weren't so attached to being near our family, or even our hometown, she probably would have gone. She's lived in London before, so it wasn't really a big thing to turn it away. She's lived in a ton of foreign countries, so it wouldn't be anything new to her.
I don't think my family could handle something like that again. When my sister left... it was bad. I actually told her if she went that I'd live with my dad in San Antonio, or my sister in town.
My sister was on the verge of tears when my mom told her. I guess that's because she just got married, had a baby, and bought a house in one year, and can't go with her.
Ehh, but like I said, she didn't take it up.
