i got bad news... i'm shutting down the studio ya'll
this week has been mostly spent in the studio recording some new tracks for run with the hunted. we originally started over a week ago, but after we finished all the drums our tracks destroyed the hard drive. when it was taken to data doctors and the files were pulled off of it, their hard drive also crashed. rwth melted two hard drives in the first few days of recording; a tough act to follow to say the least.
we resumed a week later and things are on schedule and going better than i ever could have hoped. we're halfway at this point and i am just completely and utterly floored at how great these songs are turning out; they have already exceeded all of my expectations. i really feel like these recordings will be a more accurate, focused representation of who and what we are as a band. we've come a long way in a year and i think that will be obvious in these songs.
we'll be putting one of them up before we leave for tour in two weeks... fuck! tour is finally happening as well! going up to seattle and back in mid-october is going to be amazing! i'll get to actually experience autumn in all it's color changing glory... not to mention i'll be playing shows every night and hanging out with my best friends the whole time. life rules. it's so rewarding to see all of your hard work paying off; i've spent years - literally years - preparing for all of this and now it's finally happening. that's a wonderful feeling.
now if i could just forget about the collapsing economy and imminent crash of civilization as we know it within the next few years... fuck...
