change of plans
Tonight is my "not going away" party. I realized that I only had 12 credits left to get my AA - a lab biology course and three electives. I'll graduate in December. I'm going to request a deferment from DePaul to start next year, but I'm not convinced that will be where I'm going - wherever life takes me.
I guess that's a good thing, because my job search in Chicago was pretty horrific. Not even the file clerk jobs were calling me back, and I have a pretty awesome resume, if I do say so myself. Excalibur would have hired me as a shot girl, but I didn't want to work until 4 am and have drunk guys groping me. The restaurant across from Navy Pier called back and asked me when I could start training and explained things about the uniform, and then called me back later to say they had hired a former hostess of theirs. The apartment search went about as well - too expensive, and without being hired for a job yet, I wasn't in a position to do anything. I really like suburbia anyway.
