No-Sew Mouse-Shaped Cat Toy
If you are like me, sewing on fiddly little things like ears is annoying. I like the idea of crocheting in one piece. So here is a cat toy made in one piece. If your cat likes catnip, definitely put catnip inside with the fiber fill.
Warning!! Not all cats can be trusted with toys made from yarn. The last thing you want to do is have your pet unravel the toy and eat some of the yarn. So, that said, start your cat out with supervised play time with the toy. You can judge from there if the cat will be safe or not. (For instance my cats will eat the tail so I have to omit the tail when I make this toy.)

Yarn DK
1. In a magic loop, chain 1, 4 sc.
2. (Working in a spiral) 2 sc in each st.
3. Sc in next 3 st, (inc, sc) twice, sc.
4. Sc in next 4 st, inc,sc in next 5 st.
5. 1 sc in next 4 st, 5 hdc in front loop of next st(first ear), sl st next 3 st, 5 hdc in front loop(second ear), scin next 3 st.
6. Sc in next 4 st, sc in back loop behind ear, sc in next 3 st, sc in backloop behind second ear, sc in next 2 st.
7. Dec, sc in next 2 st, inc, sc in next 2 st, inc, sc in next 3 st.
8. Sc in next 6 st, inc, sc inc in next 5 st.
9. Sc in next 4 st, inc, sc in next 3 st, inc, sc in next 4st.
10. Sc in next 8 st, inc, sc in next 6 st.
11. Sc in next 5st, inc, sc in next 7st, inc, sc in next 2 st.
12-14. Work even (18st)
15. Dec, (sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat to end, sc in last st.
STUFF
16. (Sc in next 2 st, dec) repeat until end
17. Dec around. F.O. with a long tail-10 inches or so. Draw through end stitches and tie shut. Draw up a loop and chain rest of tail-14 or whatever looks good to you.
