My New Belly Dancing Costume!

I finally got my iPhone to work long enough for pictures and uploading of pictures, so I get to show off my new belly dancing costume. I'm so proud of it!

I got really lucky with the fact that I already had all the fabric on hand for the skirt and the pants. Some of it was a little worse for wear since it looked like some little insect must have nibbled away here and there, but since there was still so much over all I just used it any way. I have a vest I made too, but I seem to have misplaced it already. The color is really close to the skirt and I crocheted little half sleeve caps to cover the tops of my shoulders. They've seen too much sun over the years, so I try to keep them covered when I can to minimize additional sun damage. I got lucky pattern wise too. I found several sites explaining how to make the skirt and I already have a method for the pants. The halter and scarf are from http://www.crochetkitten.blogspot.com/ (Josephine Halter and Josephine Scarf)

I gotta add that when I wear it the pants aren't so long. Not only do they fit oddly on my dress form, but I roll them up a bit at the waist so they don't drag. I also think I'm going to add some beads and embellishments to the halter, it just isn't flashy enough yet.
