(no subject)
Get to the Tweeter Center right at 3pm as Mindless Self Indulgence starts playing. We missed their first song, but that was alright. They played all the songs we love, including "Faggot", "Bitches", "Stupid Motherfucker"..... yes... they're all song titles. They put on a KICKASS show. Jimmy Urine is absolutely fascinating to watch. It was my first time seeing them. It was SO hot in that 45 minutes in the sun.
Karyn, Meridith, Kelley and I sit in the shade for an hour or so. We saw a bunch of people we knew; Caroline, Harry, Barry, Alex, Ally, Chucky, Brendan and Eric. We then headed to the lawn. The open seats were open to everyone cause I guess ticket sales sucked, so we sat down which was wonderful.
Placebo came on after Julien-K. This was my first time seeing Placebo, and I was very excited, especially after Rod's entry about them. They played all the songs I know. However, Brian's voice wasn't exactly that good... their performance was alright. Kelley was really disappointed with them, saying that they suck live. I was just happy I got to see them.
HIM was next. They have no stage presence whatsoever and Ville fucking stands there and doesn't move AT. ALL. They were awful. I didn't pay any attention whatsoever. Taking Back Sunday came on after HIM. They were good. I only knew one or two songs by them. The lead singer looks so scuzzy though. My Chemical Romance performed after TBS... and they stole the show. They had a really cool stage set up. ...... Gerard IS actually beautiful and I feel gross saying that. They put on a great show. I still don't like their music, but that's ok.
Linkin Park FINALLY came on. They were ok. They played a lot of slow songs and songs off the new album (which is complete and utter shit.) The songs they played from Hybrid Theory and Reanimation were great though... I forgot that I knew every single word. Those songs were awesome to sing to. I've never seen LP live, even though they are the first "metal" band I ever liked. They were the band that got me into "rock" music, those long 8 years ago back in 7th grade, hahaha. Chester really DOES have a beautiful voice though, and he has a powerful voice. The crowd went crazy for LP, and that was fun to watch.
In a nutshell, the show was alright. I was fighting with my friends a lot so that sucked. We had horrible, horrible seats and were really far away.

The best part of the night happened inbetween sets. They had giant TV screens all over the venue that displayed text messages people could send in. There were some fucking hilarious ones, like this one...
... people were getting proposed to left and right. Every time a message said "Scream for MCR!/ TBS!/ LP!/ MSI!"... people would fucking screeeeam. Whenever people wrote about Red Sox, people screamed. Then some funny people would be like, "Yay Yankees!" and those would get booed. And then there were funny ones like these:
