CRAZIEST fucking night EVER.

Kyo from Dir en grey. *sigh*. Self mutilation is sexy.

Chino Moreno from Deftones.

Jonathon Davis from KoRn.

Woke up at 11am to buy 30 Seconds To Mars tickets. I only have tickets for Providence on Sunday, October 29th. I'm still waiting on the Boston ones.

Left for Karyns around 12:30pm. We drove by a sign that said "Yard Sala". The fact that someone didn't even realize while putting the sign up that they spelled "Sale" wrong, is beyond words. Karyn, Kelley, Meridith, Brandon, Shani, Jill, her boyfriend and I arrived at the Tweeter Center around 1:30pm. We tailgated until 3pm.

I was so surprised to see so many Dir en grey fans! You'd never know it by asking if someone's heard of them before. We walked around for a bit until we retreated to the lawn. Watched "Bury Your Dead" and "10 Years". I seriously think that 10 Years used the sound that the aliens make in "War Of The Worlds" for their intro. I was like... why the hell is this sound creeping me out so much?! It's funny, after seeing that movie, I always thought "that sound would make a killer intro to a song!".

At this point, Kelley and I head down to the pit to see fucking DIR EN GREY. I was so excited, I was ready to pee myself. I never ever ever ever thought I'd see them live. I infact, bought the $70 PIT tickets just to be close to them. It was so worth it. They're all just so BEAUTIFUL! I was 5 feet away from Kyo the entire time. And when he started cutting at his gums and slitting his skin with a razor... UUUUGH!!! Well, everyone around me, including Kelley, was like "Um, ew, this band sucks and this is gross", but I fucking loooved it. I personally don't think they played good songs to win over the crowd. Some were pretty slow, but I had a blast. I have nooo idea what songs they played- I may love them to death, but I don't have a goddamn clue what the names of the songs are. Which is shocking, cause it's me.. I always know EVERYTHING about any band, but whatever. They played for about 30-40 minutes.

Kelley left for the lawn while I headed over to the Meet & Greet. I bought a $18 CD, and the guy said "No pictures or autographs". I replied "Well.. then.. then what the hell do I do?!" He told me Die was doing the Meet&Greet tonight, so i was fucking off the walls caaaaause he's my favorite :). So I head over to the end of the line, which was through the entire wooded area and up the stairs into the pavement and little vendors, so it was about 150-200 fans in line. I befriended the people around me, chatting about the band and all sorts of stuff. We waited about half an hour when the line started moving REALLY fast. Fans started coming up the stairs crying, kissing their hands, laughing and just in pure shock! We learned it was actually Kyo who was doing the greet. Halfway through the line, I hear screams from fans and everyone starts running out of the line. Meanwhile, about 75 of us still in line are pulling a WTF? We walk up to the gate to learn that Kyo had left. I heard because people were taking pictures, and I wanted to die. Almost all of the people who didn't get to meet Kyo left, angry and upset. I wasn't about to leave after all of this shit, so I stuck around with about 20 other kids. A man came over to us and said he'd seen the whole thing: A little girl who was next in line stopped really far away from the Meet & Greet. So Kyo thought there were no more fans, and he went off his way. Sadly he didn't know there were still a good 75 fans waiting far far away.

So the managers are all pissed off and angry, but they eventually figure something out. We wait about 15 minutes more, and they take the 20 of us kids still waiting to the other side of the big wooden fence. They lined us all up, counted us and told us to wait. It really looked like we were being lined up to be shot or something haha, especially with the sounds of the paintball area nearby. ANYWAY, 5 minutes pass and a golfcart with Kyo in it comes on by. The face he made when he pulled up was... yea. He gets out and everyone starts screaming and going "Kyo! It's really you! Kyo!". His face was just "Oh my god, I hate you all" hahaha. So, we awkwardly stood there while one by one, we shook his hand, said "thanks" and walked away. Yea, that was it. I missed all of Flyleaf, waited over an hour, spent $20 and almost got nothing out of it, for a simple little handshake by the lead singer of one of my favorite bands. From Japan, which makes it so much more cooler. SO worth it :)

I finally headed back to the PIT, where Stonesour were performing. Boooring. Although, I forgot that the lead singer of Stonesour, Corey Taylor, is really the lead singer of Slipknot. What a change! We only bought 3 PIT tickets, but Kelley took her wristband off, saved it and went back to the wristband guy and said hers fell off. So they signed her stub, "No Wristband", and we ended up with an extra ticket that way! So Kelley, Karyn, Meridith and I all got down in the PIT. IT WAS AMAZING.

Then FINALLY, Deftones came on! I don't own any of their CDs, and only know a couple songs here and there but man, I loved them, and the songs I knew were crrrazy live. They're very mellow, but I love them. Chino looks like a chubbier Mr. Blanchet, so, like of course I love him! "Hole In The Earth" is currently one of my favorite songs. Haha, at one point, Chino started singing "I'm bringing sexy back, you motherfuckers don't know how to act". Well Justin Timberlake, you're officially famous when rockstars start singing your song. (You have to admit, you fuckin LOVE that song too :) )

And then, ya know. KORN. Um, pretty much DIED. Imagine laying on a flat surface, and having someone sitting on you. But on all 4 sides. And then rubbing up and down on a sweaty, dirty man. There were quite a few times where I couldn't breath because I was so squished. But the view was insanely amazing. Five feet away from Jonathon Davis the entire night! I'm not sure if they do this for all shows, but they said they were filming this show for their new DVD coming out, so it'd be pretty neat if I'm on it in the audience somewhere! I was one or two people away from the baricade, so I don't see why not. Corey Taylor and Chino came out and sang during some songs. During one song, Korn somehow ended up in the middle of all the seats in the audience, which was pretty neat. Can anyone explain to me who the four men were in the animal masks? At the very end of the show, members of most of the bands came out (including Kaoru, or at least he's the only one I saw) and they took a huge group picture for the DVD.

I went out to buy a Dir en grey t-shirt, but they were all gone. Apparently they'd left already or something, and they take their shirts with them. So now I'm pissed, but I guess it saves me $35. We were home by midnight.

As we were waiting for Korn, three guys behind us started talking to us. They were the nicest gentlemen on the planet, watching out for us the entire time for Korn. The youngest one was pretty much the hottest guy I've ever seen in my life, and I especially loved him when he said, "I wanna get a spiderweb tattooed on my penis so that when I cum, it looks like I'm making a web."

I smelled completely of weed, B.O., dirty smelly men and sweat the rest of the night. It was fuckin hot, I'm telling ya.

Today, or really day after, I'm still in awe over what a great night I had. I STILL can't believe I actually, in flesh and blood, saw Dir en grey.
