(no subject)
So I was officially convinced by 7:30 last night that it was going to be such a fucked up night. I picked Devon up from work at the City Museum at 5:30 and we went back to her house. Michelle came over. I like when the three of us hang out. Devon's mom came home and was extremely pissed at Devon because she lost her shoes that went with her dress for the Art Prom. This wouldn't have been an enormous deal if it were at all possible to look around Devon's room for them, but her room is piled with clothes everywhere. I helped her find them and after a long time I did! Yay. So Devon could still go out. All of a sudden I couldn't remember what I did with my keys. I ran downstairs and they're still in my car and my car is on! What the fuck. I was freaking out and shaking and stressed out like no other. I call my mom and she comes and opens it for me. Geez. We were all convinced this was telling us to stay inside because something bad was going to happen. Haha.
Well, we still went through with our plans. Went to the Loop so I could buy records. I finally got the In Medias Res 7" which I never was able to get before because I didn't have a record player. Extremely excited about that. I got another record too. We were suppose to get sushi but didn't because we ran out of time. Went to Bread Co. where this guy, Los, was talking to us. Funny story. He wanted to hang out with us tonight so we told him what we were doing and he's like "Punk rock, like POD, yeah I like them." We just kind of laughed at him. Left there and went to the Creepy Crawl. We walk up to the door and Kevin is right there and says to Michelle "$10 for minors" and she almost gave him her money. Silly Michelle. Saw Laura and said hi! Yay! So they let us in and we stood around. Talked to people. Blah blah. After an hour, Corbeta Corbata played. I really like them. I use to think they're music was kind of boring but they've gotten a lot better. Danced. Devon killed her knee doing the splits. Um, and Michelle is really funny because when people talk to her she just gives them this blank stare. The Trip Daddys were next. I wasn't into them at all at first. They grew on me a little. Just not my thing. We left after them because we had to be home at 12. I stayed at Devon's because I didn't want to have to leave earlier than that.
We watched That Thing You Do!! I got stuck at her house today until 5 because of the damn ice storm. Boo. We just watched more movies and slept all day. Funny. My mom finally came and got me and her boyfreind drove my car home because I didnt want to drive in the ice. I'm so glad last night turned out so fun. Everything about it was funny somehow. Things are good today.
