Darren Criss at Irving Plaza in NYC

First of all, let me just say that June 15th was the best night of my life. Darren Criss' concert is my favorite that I have been to, and I have been to PLENTY.

So let's start with this:

That picture is obligatory. My friend Robert & I arrived at the venue at 2pm. The line was already around the corner at this time. Crazy people, I wasn't expecting that. We should have left earlier, although it wouldn't have made a difference due to the fast lane option that they had. We made some new friends(Allison and Danielle). Allison is a cartoonist, she does comics, and Klaine fanart from time to time. She is absolutely fantastic, and she helped us around the city. But I digress. More of that later. Darren tweeted about the show. Cue the freakouts of everyone reading the tweets(including myself, but it was still extremely amusing.) Then someone saw Darren arrive, and people freaked out some more. Lauren Lopez arrived, but we were kind of expecting her. Riker, Curt, Titus, Jaymz, and Jon were also hanging around the area. Before I start talking about the actual show, let me show you a photo of the line:

The amount of pink glasses was ridiculous. Anyhoo, then we went in at around 7:30. Now, we were going to try to get s close to the stage as possible, but the people on the fast lane had already filled that up. So instead, we ended up paying $20 extra to stand right behind the soundboard. Now, even though that was upstairs, I regret absolutely nothing because Dianna Agron, Riker Lynch, Curt Mega, Titus Makin, Jon Hall and Jaymz Tuaileva were standing not even 20 feet away from us. Althoug when I saw Dianna, she looked shorter than what she looks like on photos and TV, so I didn't go up to her. I should have known that there aren't many females with that haircut, hair color, and THOSE CHEEKBONES. Really, I was distracted for ten minutes trying to figure out if it was her lol. However, here's a picture of Riker's head haha

That was during John West's set. Both of Darren's opening acts were BRILLIANT. Usually, opening acts aren't that good at small venues, but they killed it. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Moving on. I don't have any good photos of their sets, sorry. So, Darren. He is the most perfect creature I have seen perform, there is no doubt about that. He kicked off with 'I'll Make a Man Out of You.'

He is a fantastic performer. So enthusiastic, and he gets so into the music. I love the fact that he performs because he likes doing so, not because he has to put on an amazing show for the fans. He literally screwed up lyrics in ALL of the songs, but like he said, "welcome to the show." I'm not even going to choose a favorite performance, because all of them were spectacular. There were moments that had us cracking up, like Darren talking about him being all sweaty(YUM!) and so on.

So, let me show you the rest of the photos:

It was great to see them on the stage, since I'm not going to attend any of the Glee shows. Sigh.

Lauren Lopez is fantastic, and her and Darren brought the place down(not as much as Darren & Naya, but pretty damn close.)

Oh Naya, you flawless woman, you.

And I bought a poster:

So, the concert was amazing. I've never enjoyed anything more. We were going to wait to see if we could meet Darren, or at least the Warblers and Lauren Lopez, but they left before we could get a chance to. Darren was still in the venue, I think, but the amount of fans hanging outside was ridiculous, so we just left. So although we didn't get to, I know eventually it will happen.

If you read this, wow, thanks lol

concert, never forget, irving plaza, darren criss
