alright so yesterday i literally rolled out of bed and went to work. apparently i was supposed to work at 930 & i was awaken to lori's voice at 10 telling me to get there asap. i can proudly say i was there by 1030 (keep in mind the 15min drive & walk down from the parking lot.) unshowered, but i didnt get in trouble so its all good. so anyways after work me & cori attempted to see bewitched but we were denied entry because of Loews gay policy that if your under 18 you can't be in a movie past 10. which might i say is some dumb shit. please my junior license grants me atleast til 11.. & mommy & daddy sometimes later.. so for me being 17 not being able to see a fucking movie past 10 is complete bullshit. southland all the way! so we ended up driving around & picked up Zach who might i say is quite possibly the biggest douche i've encountered in a long while.. cori you can do SOOOOOOOo much better. he is an ass and cares for no one but himself.. we preceeded to hit up some DQ and talk about our male problems & how much guys suck.. which they do. & we ended the evening at cori's playing some life. we shook hands on a grande bojumble of a game & called it a night. lol
so onward to today.. eh very boring nothing to enthralling. i worked at 4 & kdub closed at 830 which was freakin' beautiful.
off subject for a moment. so i submitted this poem online awhile ago to win a free ipod (even tho i have one & i knew it was a hoax for something else ) but anyways i still sent it in.. so i got this letter in the mail the other day saying they're going to publish my poem in this poem book & i could win money if they like it enough.. idk that was pretty exciting to me.. the thought of being published is pretty damn cool even if it is in a big poetry book that probably no one i know will read.. none-the-less it is an accomplishment. for all those curious and/or bored.. here it is:
"Flakes of Reality"
Winter snow coats the ground
keeps us in & we are bound
locked inside by the cold air
isolation sets in & it's hard to fare
it seems as though winter never ends
causing tree branches to break & bend
it keeps the plants from growing tall
and makes one feel so incredibly small
just when you think the cold has past
it comes again & the harsh conditions last
only the hope of a warm summer day
keeps one trekking through the snow that lay.
