Hi Everyone ! I'm new here and this is my first post ! And my first fan fiction in english, since I'm french. So, I apologize in advance for any grammar mistakes, and I hope you'll like it ! :) I'm waiting for your feedback !! XD
I did this because I love the show, and I love J/A , but I'm not a writer and don't intent to be. This is for fun, but i tried to do it right ;)

May 2013,Study room F
They were living their last days at the Greendale Community College. So many had happened. Shirley had a baby, Pierce became addict to painkillers, Chang hijacked the entire school, Troy joined the air condittioner repair school, they 've all been suspended for months and so on. All the adventures, all the good moments, and the bad ones, will stay forever in their mind. Not so much happened during the last year, except for Troy and Britta who grew closer to each other and officially became a couple a few months ago. Well, in the end, they all grew closer to one another, and life was good. The exams was over, everyone succeded, leaving the excitment of a new life.
But was everything entirely perfect?
That's the question Annie was wondering as they were sitting on their last study group session. In a few days from now, they will attend their graduation ceremony, and then the ball, and then .... Will they remain friends? How things will Chang with everyone following its own path? ... That's what was really on Annie's mind at this time. Of course they stuck together during their suspension, but they had a common purpose. And Jeff? This year, he didn't do anyhting expect showing her how much he cared about her, but as a friend and she had stop thinking about the possibility of the two of them being together, and even if she was finally fine with that, she couldn't bear losing him. Of course he changed, and he needed them now, but outside those walls, who knows if he won't be back to the way he was and forget about her.
She lift up her head and glanced at his friend, but as usual, he was playing or texting on his cell phone. Which almost made her laugh was to realize some things never change. And when she looked around, she was shocked to see that no one seemed to care it was the end of the Greendale Seven. Britta was fixing her lipstick and glancing at Troy with a cheesy smile. Shirley and Pierce were talking about the extension of the buisness all over Colorado, and Abed was on his computer.
She couldn't believe it. What was the point?
She started to tap nervously her pen on her notebook, cleared her throat a couple of times to catch anyone's attention, but nothing worked. And as she was getting very angry and sad inside, none of them seemed to care. None? Come on!! Her head started boiling more and more.
She got up and began to shout."NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" She shook her head hard as she yelled. When she calmed down, she saw all of her friends staring at her. She was kind of embarrassed of what just happened, she had lost control of herself. She sit back into her chair, made an awkward smile, and tried to explain this behavior, but no words came out.
Abed was the first to speak up. "I think Annie has a problem. "
"Maybe she found out her little boyfriend is gay" said Pierce
"HEY!" Jeff protested instinctivly, but then realized that he labelled himself the "little boyfriend" of Annie, which resulted with everyone staring at him. He needed a way to escape the situation." I was joking! You know I always react when Pierce says someone is gay" he said with a smile.Oh my god, did he have anything less convincing to say? Britta was still frowning at him with suspicious eyes.
" Actually it makes sense. The dynamic between the two of you kinda lack of sexual tension this year, and let's be honest, it was getting a little boring. I was waiting for a Troy and Britta twist for the finale episode, but since they're more a 'Chandler and Monica' than a 'Ross and Rachel', it makes more sense. It's gonna be interesting" Abed said as he raised his eyebrows twice.
"See Jeff" Pierce said " even Ay-Bed thinks you're gay too now. And he knows everything. Hahahaahaaaa". He was so happy of this conclusion.
"I never said that Jeff was gay. But his reaction to the "boyfriend" comment speaks for itself. This can be the start of a twist the audience crave for" Abed added, already imagining the movie in his head.
"Could we be back on Annie please?" Shirley asked to the group.
"Thank you !!" Jeff let out in relief.
"Oh don't get too happy boy, I agree with Abed" Shirley added pointing her finger to Abed, who responded her with a 'pew pew'
"Guys!" Troy shout pointing his two arms toward Annie, who was a bit disturbed by the whole scene, but still too preocupied by her own thoughts.
"Thank you Troy but i'm okay. It's just that it's our last study session, and i was thinking you guys would be all sad about it, but it looks like you don't even care we may not see each other again after school ends."
"Oh honey, don't worry" Shirley padded her on the hand " We're real friends now, we're gonna keep seing each other. Even Pierce will be invited". He should have been offended by this, but was on the contrary very pleased by what Shirley said. He made his way into the group, finally!.
"Shirley's right Annie. With all the weird adventures we lived, and all the problems we faced, I think we're stuck together for ever" Britta said as she was looking at Troy with a big cheesy smile.
"Britta, how can you be so sure about this?" Annie retorted " In a few days, Greendale will only be history. We're all gonna start a new life, meet new people. Even Troy and Abed are not safe from pulling apart"
"She doesn't mean it" Troy immediatly said to his friend, whose eyes was getting wide.
Annie kept on going " Let's face it guys, we may have survived many fights, an eviction, and all the crazy stuffs around this place, and yes, it made us stronger and kinda glued our group, but in the end we're not different from anyone else. In the end, we might not be friends anymore". This realisation made her sad, but she was caught in the emotion and couldn't help herself but talking. " I know I'll never forget you, and I swear you guys will always be precious to me. I had the best time living with Troy and Abed, and a little bit with Britta now, and I felt warm going to school every day knowing that i'd get to spend the day with you guys." Tears started to pop on the corner of her eyes." You became the family that I lost, and the best one one could dream." She started sobbing. Which made everyone except Jeff - who rolled his eyes - sobbing as well.
"Annie, why does it sound like you're telling us goodbye?" Jeff inquired, worried
She directly stopped crying. " What? nothing..."
"Twist is coming" Abed said to himself
"Annie" Jeff insisted " Why do you sound like you're leaving?"
Annie stayed watching Jeff with opened eyes and no words, panicking.
" BECAUSE SHE IS!!" Britta blurted out in tears.
"WHAT?" everyone shouted, except Abed who simply said to himself " I knew it"
"Britta!" Annie snaped.
"Oups"
"I'm sorry guys. I wanted to tell you, but I just didn't know how. The only reason Britta knew is because I'm moving to new York and I needed informations" Annie explained
"And when do you plan on leaving?" Shirley asked
"Sunday..."
"WHAT?" everyone shouted, except Abed who simply said to himself "that I didn't know"
"That's why I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys sooner. I'll spent the summer over there, find a place to live and a part time job before the semester begins" Annie explained.
Everyone stayed silent, in shock, especially Jeff. Troy break the silence in a hugh cry "Why? WHY??!!!!!! Why are you doing this to us? Everything was great ! Why everything has to change!! " He putted his head in his hand and kept crying.
"It's alright Troy. I'll visit. I told you, you guys are my family."
" But I thought you wanted to go to Hopital administration school, here in Colorado" Shirley said
" I know, but I may have changed my mind a few months ago. Remember when I was cleaning the rivers with Rich in Sophmore? Well I did other volunteer jobs for the environment and i really enjoyed it. That's when I realized that I was intertested in environmental protection laws. So I found this amazing school in New York, and I thought that it could be a change of frame. It's tearing me apart to leave you guys but i really want to be the best and make a difference in this world." Annie explain with a grin.
They all looked at each other with a grin and decided to support Annie with her decision. Everyone but Jeff. He remained silent the entire time, looking down at the table. He hadn't even react to Annie mentionning perfect Rich.
"Jeff?" Annie asked gazing his friend with her Disney eyes. He looked up to her and he felt that she needed his approbation. Even if she was the one learning him so much, she had always look up to him, and he knew she wouldn't be at peace with her choice if he didn't support her. So, once again, he repressed his thoughts and feelings, smiled at her and simply replied:
" You'll be the best kiddo"
This made Annie smiled as well, and Jeff knew he made the right decision.

The Ball
Jeff was leaning against the bar, watching around, a glass of whisky in his hand. He was thinking about the last study session and Annie anouncing she was leaving. He never thought losing sight of Annie, she was everything to him, and he couldn't imagine his life without her around. She had been the first person (apart from his mother of course) who accepted him the way he was, but also guided him at the same time to be a better person and find out the real him inside. He knows he wouldn't be the same if it wasn't for her, and for that she'll always be special to him. And whatever the mixed feelings he had, one thing was sure: he didn't want her to leave...
That's when she arrived. Jeff saw her from the bar, and almost died from a cardiac attack. She was wearing a sophisticated strapless black dress, flowing hairs, high heels and a tiny purse under her arm. She was just utterly gorgeous! She wasn't his friend, or the little sexy schoolgirl he sometimes dared to fantasize about (what? every guy has a thing for sexy schoolgirls, it has nothing to do with Annie). No, he saw a woman. He wanted her to become a woman, so he could feel less guilty of the thoughts he had once in a while, but he didn't expect Woman Annie to look so beautiful and sexy, in a classy way. A part of him just wanted to run over her, grabed her and kiss her so deeply she would beg him to undress her so he could kiss her everywhere. She would be moaning his name and he'd never stop touching her, and she'd beg for more and more and .... What?? Back on track Winger!
Annie looked around until she found Jeff staring at her. She drew a big smile on her face and waved him. He waved her back and as she started her way to meet him, Troy and Abed pulled her on the dancefloor, leaving her no choice but to follow them.
"Hey Annie! We were waiting for you!! it's time for krumping" The duo shared their special handshake, and then encercling Annie who began to laugh. She looked at Jeff whith a look saying " I'm sorry but these two ..." .He only smiled, like always when he looks at her
Britta arrived from behind "Hey Jeff"
He turned around and tried to hold the big mocking smile on his face as he saw his friend in a giant alligator costume.
"I know what you think Winger, but i'm sure the dean said it was costume party and i'm not in the mood for jokes"
"I wasn't going for a joke, but just tell me what made you think Paul Hogan was attending tonight."
She frowned " Ha ha! Very funny Jeff ". She folded her arms and groaned with litlle confidence "You're the joke"
"I'm wearing a 3000 dollars costume, I doubt it"
"Show off" coughed Leonard who was passing by
"Shut up Leonard! I saw the big black guy in your YouTube video."
Leonard graoned and left
Jeff found himself looking back to where Annie was, and sighed.
"You love her, right? " Britta said as she caught the moment of despair he had
"What do you mean? Of course I love her. it's Annie, we all love her"
"You know what I meant. You love her love her"
"What? No! Don't use whatever psych skills you have on me. I don't "love" Annie. Yes she's the most tolerant and guenuine person i've ever met, and yes she accepted my flaws and helped me correct them without judging me, and yes she looks fantastically amazing tonight even if i find her beautiful all the time, and yes I may have felt things for her in a time, but that is NOT love. For a psych, you don't read well into people, do you?" Jeff huffed
"Do as you want Winger, but she won't be around long, and when she'll leave, it'll be too late"
" Okey dokey Wally Gator" Jeff insisted, obviously annoyed.
Britta made a annoyed face and left. The Dean passed at this time dressed as a very gay Paul Hogan. "Oh! Nice costume Britta" and walked away. Jeff shook his head and frowned with a bit of misunderstanding.

Later that night, Jeff went outside for some fresh air, and to escape Pierce's theory about how to do the best threesome when he found Annie sitting on the steps at the same spot they were where they shared "the kiss" after the Tranny Dance. She was gazing into space, looking kind of sad and obviously worried.
"Funny" Jeff said ironnicaly. "Last time I saw you there you were coming back to Greendale. Guess now you're leaving for good, right?"
This caught her off guard and stopped her trails of thoughts. She turned around to Jeff who was approaching, and she just didn't know what to respond. When he finally sat next to her, she turned her gaze back to space and looked around her.
"Gonna miss this place?". She nodded and she looked sad, like if she was about to cry
"Gonna miss me?". The question suprised her and she directly turned to Jeff and sighed
"Of course I'm gonna miss you Jeff, I know I have to go and live up to my dreams, but I'm so scared I'm not gonna be able to make it without you around. You're my best friend"
"And I'll always be" He responded frankly, reassuring her. After a few seconds, he added "You don't have to worry Annie, you're gonna make a fanstastic lawyer. You're strong, intelligent, and I know you're confident enough now not to let people walk all over you. They're gonna be scared of you!". She chuckled to the compliment. "And I also know you're never gonna be the kind of lawyer I was. I know you can get carried away sometimes, but you crave too much for justice."
"Yeah. Good thing you helped me getting back on track during the yam incident."
"I learned that from you." She smiled and he smiled back " Plus Todd was an easy target, we needed challenge. He was whining like a baby"
She chuckled . After a few seconds, she started to slowly get up from the steps " Well, I should go. Still have some packing to do."
They were both up, ready to say good night.
"I haven't had the chance to tell you that you look really beautiful tonight. very Waow waow beautiful"
This made her blush a little. She knew the power she had on him, especially in this kind of dress, but hearing it from him always left her unarmed.
"Thank you Jeff. You don't look so bad yourself"
Jeff leaned down to kiss her hand "Milady". When he looked back up, he gazed directly into her eyes. And as much as she was fighting back tears, on drop fell from the corner of her eyes, those big blue beautiful eyes he was melting into each time. He put his palm on her cheek and wiped away the tear with his thumb. "Oh Annie."
She leaned into his touch, closed her eyes and let the tears run down, quietly. Jeff hated when she cried, so without a second thought, he took one step closer and huged her, one hand on her back, the other beside her head, as she rested her head on his chest. The hug lasted several minutes, both of their hands slowly and smoothly rubing each other's back, and suddenly it was not about conforting a friend anymore. One could see two bodies discovering each other, unable to pull apart. Her hands went back up to encircle his neck and she pulled him closer, leaving him more space to let his hands wander around her small back and his head buried in her neck (good thing she had heels, and that she was on tip toe). He wraped her and squized her hard.
It was Annie who pulled back her head from the hug, but still remaining in Jeff's arms. As she looked back into his eyes, she felt like the kiss was inevitable. She may or may not be in love with him, his gaze and his smile always made her weak, unable to protest about what was happening. Her controlling personnality would never admit it, but she liked it. The child was gone, Jeff made her feel like a woman, in all her vulnerability and sensuality.
She closed her eyes and started to reach for his lips, longing Jeff to do the same but Jeff, Jeff, wasn't moving. At that precise moment, Jeff was panicking! He was stroke again by all kinds of confusion thoughts that wouldn't go away. ' No I can't ... She's my friend. too young. Too many consequences. Too innocent. She's leaving, she's leaving. God so beautiful ... No I can't' . He leaned down and placed a kiss on her cheek "Good night Milady" . He didn't look or glanced her way. He just turned around and left.
