I wake as turquoise tides, tear through towers
barrel down the newspaper grey ghettos
washing over skyscrapers, storm showers
stifle the suns scorching strands of yellows.
frightful fellows, flee fast from the fierce flood
like it was armed to the teeth with guns drawn
yet the streets cleared without a drop of blood
the current covered the downtown at dawn
as the blackness, faded to a sharp light
I examined where I was laid to waste
none dead, but the city perished that night
a new metropolis stood in its place
(burning a vision of hope in my mind)
(and my soul as I woke a second time)
