should marijuana be legalized?
I spent four hours tonight watching "Illegal Drugs and How they got that way" on the history channel, and when the episode of marijuana came on, out of the information i got from this tv show was that "pot" was a good thing when it was used, relieved aches, used by cancer patients to cure loss of apitite, and is great for women on their periods because it stops cramps. one of the only reasons it was banned in the first place was because the us had nothing else to blam all the violent actions of people on but that. like for instance one comercial that this one man oliver almance had in trying to ban marijuana in the united states was like this scenario:
"johnny got stoned and his mom asked him to help her cook, he said sure so they started cooking and she dropped her spoon and went to pick it up and he took the heavy frying pan and struck her in the head, and that is all the truth"
so of course people believed that every person in america would kill someone if they did drugs so the country banned it, now i don't know if anyone else took this into consideration, every minute 1,000 people die from cancer from smoking cigaretts ,& what purpose does smoking cigaretts have to improving your health that's right none. where as smoking pot there are many. but don't get me wrong if someone smokes pot and gets high and pulls a gun im not going to say the person wont kill someone, but if you are all alone or with a friend who would you hurt.
i of course do not smoke anything myself but doesn't it seem more safe towards the human race to ban cigaretts and allow marijuana to to be legal, where as marijuana in a sence is healthy and cigaretts just causes lung cancer. seriously if the supply does not meet the demand (death of people, and the birth of people) than the world will end.
