I've decided to come out of my private mode. All this creativity shouldn't be held captive. Funny. When there is nothing private, there is no need for privacy.

When I run my fingers through my hair (afro), I love to feel the curls. I love having hair, but, for some reason, others don't. My grandmother made me angry today in front of the folks today. (The folks are my cousin Sandy, a cute woman with down syndrome, Uncle Butch, Uncle James, Aunt Cat, and Aunt Doll). Here's what she said.

"When I get my retirement check, I'm going to give mah baby some money so he can get him a haircut."
My chest caught on fire. I wanted to scream and shout, but I had to remember that she is post- surgery. That was still a bitchy comment about my hair though.

Heroes is such an awesome show. It's about as confusing as a calculus problem though. Well, maybe advanced algebra. It requires full attention.

I've begun a trend of halfway reading REALLY interesting books, and then returning them to the library. I was reading this one book called Icy Sparks, it's apart of the Oprah Book Club, it's about this girl living in the south with tourette's syndrome before it was ever discovered. If you read the first sentence of this mini-paragraph, it would be smart to conclude that I didn't finish the book. No, I didn't. I came halfway within range, and then I lost service, well time. I didn't feel like checking it out again. Instead, I have jumped into my Oxford's Essential Writing Guide book to prepare for essays and such.........just in case I decide to Iowa or Atlanta.

I think there are a few African ladies attending the M.O.S.T. conference this weekend. I hope I don't experience a culture shock. 12 years at Shannon, and I still can't communicate well with the urban community. I wonder if I will have a roomate. My host's name is Christopher Jamison if my member serves me correctly. He is a major in Biochemistry. Out of the bunch, I'm the only one under Linguistics/ International Studies. I guess the statistic is true. Most students do go into college under "Pre- Med".

Something came up in my mind today that is very interesting. While I was piddling around BAMM the other day, my face smashed into this book. I can't remember the name, but I do remember some of the information contained in it. It said that with each new generation, a new height of intelligence is reached. Interesting concept.

Please excuse grammatical/ spelling errors.
