I was looking around LJ, trying to find out how to code links to other sites (AO3, DW, etc.) so they appear with their appropriate icons, the way the LJ user code posts the user or community icons in entries or comments. The fantastic jenna_marianne sent me these code snippets, along with the info that the best way to code for AO3 and DW is to use the Share codes provide by the sites themsleves, as LJ doesn't recognize or provide for alternate links.

Thus, I am leaving these code snippets here in case soemone else is searching LJ like I was and is able to stumble across this post using the Search function. I would have been thrilled to find such a post (though I admit my Search-fu is not strong) instead of basically flagging down passing strangers. Luckily, the strangers on LJ are pretty freakin' awesome!
