Puppies and hospital visits
It's been awhile since I last wrote. Since I last wrote Brent and I got a puppy. His name is Aiden and he's 3 months old now. He's so adorable, but can be a mess at the same time. I guess that's what you should expect from a puppy though. He's sleeping right now on his bed. He's so cute. I love him so much.
I was pretty sick over Christmas. I finally broke down and went to the doctor on Monday. He tested me for the flu and strep..both turned up negative. He told me that my white blood cell count was way low..lower than normal, which means that it wasn't fighting the infection. I have a viral infection. The doctor told me if I still couldn't keep anything down by the end of the night that I would have to go to the emergency room. He gave me some meds and I went home. Later that night I still couldn't manage to keep anything down and I collapsed. So I had to go to the e.r. I was severely dehydrated. They took 5 things of my blood. That made me a little light headed. I went through 2 bags of sodium choloride and they gave me a shot that helped settle my stomach and some antibiotics through the i.v. They thought from all of my symptoms that I had meningetis, so they did a spinal tap. That's where they puncture a hole in your spine. The results came up negative, so they sent me home. I'm doing much better now, still kinda weak from being sick and dehydrated. I'm on medication now that settles my stomach, so I can keep stuff down now. Also, they put me on hydrocodone to help my back and neck. My spine has really been hurting after they did that. Oh and when the lady was putting in my i.v. she was also trying to take blood from me at the same time, so she had to poke 4 holes in my arm to get the right spot. That sucked a lot. I'm doing a lot better now though. Hopefully I'll be completely recovered within the next few days.
We're gonna go shopping tonight and then eat a Salt grass...maybe a steak will help me. :)
