(no subject)
if you're bored and nothin to do, then go ahead and read this. i was
bored at 1am when i decided to start this...
last weekend was awesome spending 2 days at Atlantic City with Nessa,
Nilo, and the Aziz's. I hung out with the Aziz's, gambled with Nilo's
mom at 1 in the morning, walked on the beach and boardwalk, hit up the
carnival and won a prize for Fugs! whoo! Oh yea, and saw some famous
Bollywood actors. I had no idea who they were but Mrs. Aziz was going
crazy when we stalked one of them and flagged him down for a pic, but
it turned out horrible cuz of my camera phone, dah well. Nessa,Nilo,
and I went down to the lobby and met another one and chased him in and
out of the elevator before we got him to take a pic. Another good thing
about New Jersey other than rowing is the no tax! And who would've
thought being cramped up in a SUV for 4-5 hours would be fun.
Friday, nilo, nessa, nessa's friend annie, and I went to see Guster,
Chevelle, and Gin Blossom. However we got there late cuz stupid people
can't drive. We saw part of an accident that happened right in front of
us on I-95. Some crazy lady try to keep the lady that hit her from
driving off, but she failed and got knocked over and hit her head on
the highway. We pulled over to help out and plus to stay as witnesses.
The crazy lady was trying to move over to the left lane but this other
lady would not let her in, so the crazy lady accelerates and pulls in
front her and immediately slams on the break to avoid hitting the car
in front of her..so this causes the car behind the crazy lady to hit
her...Two stupid aggressive drivers...where are you going to go with
bumper to bumper traffic? the next exit ramp wasn't for another 3 miles
or so...whatever...we only missed Gin Blossom but we did hear one of
their two hit singles anyways. I kinda wished we made it for them.
Chevelle came on next...I only liked 3-4 of their songs. It was fun tho
cuz of the mosh pits and crowd surfers, I had to stay alert and keep
looking behind so my girls wouldn't get plowed by some douche! I only heard Guster a few times, so I wasn't a huge fan but they were really good so i'm gonna check them out some more! I lost total respect for Chevelle when they trashed talk Guster on stage, complete bullshit and
unacceptable. No one should ever trash talk anyone's music. You can say
its not your kind of music, but don't say they suck! Its like when
someone says to me "Incubus sucks cuz MTV plays them and now they're
popular! those sellouts!" its not Incubus's fault for being on MTV. Do you get mad when you hear the song on the radio? its the same thing, just with pictures! If you don't like it, don't watch MTV or VH1 or
whatever. Dont trash anyone's song because it doesn't have a "hidden
meaning," or its not "deep". your taste for music is your own opinion,
everyone is titled to their opinion. thats what makes us human beings.
Country music isn't my cup of tea(sorry i had to steal that fugs), but honestly it doesn't suck. I do give my roommate shit about it, but its all in fun. It must be good since its popular, and they work hard to come up with
their stuff.

and if you don't like my choices, tough. i'm really bored so i'm gonna keep goin...Saturday we had our Mid Atlantics regatta, our last home race, and our last race in the 8. That was the last time I'll row with Austin, Andy, Alex, Chris, and even Ryan. For everything that has happened this past season, we were proud of our 2nd place finish. Loyola beat us by almost half a boat length. We have one more race, Dad Vails in NJ this weekend. Our coach always puts an 8 in that race but this year we aren't strong enough. Our stern 4(the 4 rowers in the back of the boat) is the strongest while our bow 4(4 rowers in the front) are the weak links. Our bow 4 made a tough and unselfish decision to give up the opportunity to race the 8 and the allow the stern 4 to race the 4 now. Wish us luck this weekend. Thanks again to Nilo and Nessa for volunteering at the race on Saturday! sorry you had to miss my race! the race went longer than it should've! But i'm glad you came!
