Well, the title explains it all! Me and Lauren had been talking about getting it done, and last night around 6 she calls me and says "You know how we've been wanting to get our bellybuttons pierced? Well, do you want to go now?" So I got really excited and nervous at the same time and had to pee a lot before I left haha. 2 of her sorority sisters went with us, one already had had hers done and told us everything and not to freak out. We got to the Body Art Emporium on Bardstown Rd and this older guy with a really long beard, tattoos, and some gauged ear piercings said "Well, what can I do for you?" So we told him, gave him our IDs, signed a form, and then since we couldnt decide who would go first, we picked a number and guess who was the lucky winner--me. My heart was racing and I sat in this chair so he could mark the spot. He was really cool and made me feel a lot better while I was getting it done. I had to stand up so he could place the clamp, lay back down, and the guy told me to take a deep breath as he placed the cork on the inside part of my bellybutton, let the breath out, take another one in and -bam- he pierced it. It was so easy and I regret the fact that I was so nervous about it! It hurt like getting your ears pierced, which isn't bad. It hurts a tiny bit from time to time just sitting here but it's so tolerable. Lauren's sister who got hers pierced too apparently experienced more pain than us, and as we were riding back the pain was irritating her. So i guess it's just a person by person basis on the pain.
Well, I dont have any pictures to post, but I might have one soon. :)
