I see you walking down the hall, I hear you calling my name.
You invite me to come and watch your basketball game.
It feels so unreal, like I'm in a dream.
Everything is different, nothings how it used to seem.
I accept, and as you leave, you sweetly kiss my cheek,
It's so hard to believe I used to be a geek,
only watching you from far, and dreaming of me and you,
But now thingS are different, as my fantasies come true.
As I watch uou walk away, laughing with your friends,
I hope and I pray that this never ends.
But the more I think of it, the more I know,
that we will soon melt away, just like the snow.
Cause nothing lasts forever, and eventually its gone,
so we all must get over it, and hopefully move on.
Maybe not right away, but soon with time,
We will all find out everything is special, even a rhyme.
So dont take things for granted, cause soon they might run out,
And we learn from our mistakes, because thats what Life's about.
