I never got to helping my roommate out with living room furniture. He had the missionaries here to help him. Don't ask! So, after waiting, just in case he needed me, I met someone for dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen, whcih was just so interesting. Nevermind the name of the place has PIZZA KITCHEN in it, I didn't realize what I ordered was pizza. I thought possibly it was like a lot of pizza places that sell some italian stuff on the side. So I was in shock when my roasted potato and garlic pizza came out. The person I was with must have thought I was a retard, well perhaps I am. I had a David moment, sorry! However, it was soo good. I really couldn't eat it all, but it was so good.
Afterwards, I meet up with a few other peeps and went out clubbing. Yes, I actually went clubbing. Oh my god, I had so much fun, but by the end of the night I was so drunk. Hell, I think I may have been buzzed before I got there. Whatever. It was all good though and I got home around 4am. God knows what Moises thinks I was doing out so late.
And basically the past 2.5 days, I have been hanging out with Miguel and gaining all the pounds I lost my first week here. We saw "Crash" yesterday, which was absolutely mind-stunning! It was such an in-your-face racist movie, which at first I was like what movie did you take me too... HaHa. He sees movies all the time, so he decided he wouldn't mind seeing that movie again. He wants to buy the DVD when it comes out. I do have to admit, it was such a good movie, despite its context.
Finally got my phone interview today with Bank of America. I think I have a pretty good chance of getting the Lead Operations Representative position and if I do, I think I have a pretty great chance of making more than what I was making in Connecticut. How is that possible? You would think the payscale would be higher in the northeast. Newsflash, folks, it's not. Move down to Texas! Payscale is equal, if not higher and expenses are cheaper. Just don't pay any attention to the heat indices of 110-112 that we are suppose to have tomorrow... LoL
It's hot, I have to admit. I walked to the mailbox today and I think I melted and that the puddle that is me is what's typing right now. I'm acclimating though. Our 80-something degree temps at night are interestingly becoming comfortable, but I still have not driven without the a/c yet, nor do I think I will until November... HAHA.
Overall, so far, so well. I'm not homesick! and well, I'm doing just fine!
