birthday~
Today was a good day. Better than I expected. I woke up, did the finishing touches on Commander Simon Jacket. Then I picked up Amanda and went to meet the girl we're rooming with for Sakuracon at OC Poulsbo... THAT was an adventure. A few wrong turns. Thankfully no tickets. :P
Then we went to Central Market and shopped around, price gauging for a event I want to do for Rainbow. We got veggie steamed buns and green tea... which really wasn't that good.
Then we went to pick up my new glasses, which weren't actually ready for me yet. So we walked around the mall and got a free bubble tea! I was really glad to see that bubbles are extra, so I could just get a plain one. I ended up sharing a taro one with Mandarr, and it was really, really good. Tasted like birthday cake ice cream, no kidding! I can see why people get addicted to them.
After I got my glasses we stopped by her house, and then the dollar store and CHIPS.It was okay.. I thought it was kind of wierd the hostess guy said gambling was a bad habit. You work at a casino, you're inviting people in. Don't you want them to fork over as much money as they can? Whatever. Amanda and I got drinks, which were yummy, and supposedly $2 each. Never gave us a bill. I got a $5 voucher and a thermos since it's my birthday. Thermos= nice. Money=lasted 5 seconds. I only got through two sets of cards of black jack. I'd never ever get addicted to gambling because.. well... Theres no satisfaction. I blinked and it was gone. Not any fun if you ask me.
Then we went to my house.We basically sat around for a while until we went out to dinner with my parents. We went to Kings Wok, and the cashier girl asked if Mandarr and I were twins. XD We shared a plate of clams and a dessert plate. My mom freaked out about me liking the Mafia. My cute-dorky dad talked about when he went to Italy and how people he knew used the mafia to get their broken car stolen so they could use insurance for a new one. :D Yay run-on sentence! We also stopped by Sears because I forgot my mom bought a second pair of glasses in order to get my initial pair. Mandarr made a guy snicker commenting about the smell of tools. "It's so...manly."
And then we came home and internetted and watched House. Wheeee.
I didn't get any cake. Ithought there would be confusion because I told my mom Mandarr and I are sugar free together until Sakuracon... But I left her a note yesterday I can have birthday cake... Cause I'm only 18 once, right? Didn't get any. :(. Birthday pudding?
Now its over I don't really care, since I'm not having any sweets for any other days. But I was hoping for some chocolate cake since I woke up this morning. Oh well.
