Speech Conquest!
*pokes icon* Heehee, this is my official speech-related-entries icon... Speech geeks have no normal Saturdays from February to April xD
Today was the Minneapple tournament, the first one with my new speech. (The depressing one relating to suicide and blue lights.) And I am so proud of myself. xD The general idea of scoring is you get ranked 1-5 (1 is good) and scored 85-100 (100 is good). Marshall had five regular rounds (ones you automatically go to without having to qualify) and I got 5/5/5/5/4 with mostly low 80s and one low 90.
Minneapple had three regular rounds... and I got 2/3/4 and high 90s! I'm not sure of my exact scores; the results are still password protected on the website. But oh my gosh I am so happy!
I do still have to cut about a minute from my speech, but now that I've given it from memory a few times I'm more confident in being able to get it down to 8 minutes instead of around 9.19 where it is now... No joke, I have nine minutes of depressing dramatic word-barf memorized xD I never thought I could do it!

I did take advantage of the time between rounds to get through another stage of making faithfulfaerie 's surprise (U dubuagws rgw ieuflnu; runw die pyirwa.) I'll probably be able to send it on Monday of Ri's dad has spiffy envelopes and stamps... ☻
I'm also ripping all three CDs we got at the Red concert last night. I'll have the music on my jump drive to shove off on you at cokie day, Kairi.
I think that's all I have to say for now. Oh, except my ears have been ringing all day xD Very distracting when you're trying to listen to speeches.
