hmmmmm.
Today was one of the best days I've had in along while.
Well, first...I don't know if i've wrote this yet, but I'm in college now and I'm having the best time ever! There's this strip of grass and then a beach right in front of my dorm and we call it "the strip" so from no on if i ever mention "the strip" then you should all know what it is. With that said, Ben, next door and I have been playing football the last few days on the strip and I get the best feeling everytime I go there with the wind blowing in my face and the fresh smell of sea water, just like every morning when I wake up. It's great. I've become close friends wityh a bunch of people here who couldn't be nicer/funnier/more open minded. I love it. I miss Liz a lot tho, sometimes i try to cover it by not mentioning it but i really do, I don't want it to get me down because it will all be fine in the end. I also miss playing in the band.
So today we finally played!
I got into Hollis from Beverly and I met Mr. Jon Fay at his house and I forked over $350 for a beautiful Ibanez S470QS. I put it in my car then I booked over to Practice, but the new drummer, Dino wasn't there yet, so Gisel, Ben, Justin and I went to Daddys so I could pick up some strings, but i ended up buying a "roadie wrench" and I restrung my guitar and all the wrenches on the "roadie wrench" got stripped and the string cutter on it broke, and it's all made of plastic so it twists, basically I'm saying it's the biggest piece of shit I've ever bought, and I spent $20 bucks for it! I'm returning it wednesday and they beter let me return it. Or I'll be pissed. ANYWAY!...
Went back to practice after Daddys and I set up the bridge for C shapr tuning, and I plugged the baby in and I seriously felt like how Micheal J Fox felt like after he strummed the guitar and got blown to the other end of te room into all the boxes....Yeah that was me today at practice. Anyway..again... We played the two songs Dine knew and I was blown away by his drumming skills! We showed him the 5th song which isn't recorded and He's got it down perfectly now, it took him like 20 minutes. It was so great. My guitar makes my amp sound sooooooo good. I thought i had to buy another guitar head but it turns out it was my old Epi. This new guitar has a duncan Invader in it and it gets soo loud and crisp and heavey. I FUCKING FELL IN LOVE ALL OVER AGAIN TODAY.
Band practice couldn't have gone better. I started a new song todat too with Dino. This is gonna be a sweet song people! This day brought so much inspiration in regards to Since The Flood and my song writing. Today was a good day.
