School’s out for now, but not much has changed. I’m finally settling down, though with much apprehension... Over the past couple of months, I've been privileged enough to send myself to the other side of the world again, crossed paths with many amazing individuals amidst some not-so-pleasant encounters, and gotten myself starstruck through and through. I’ve also cracked my head and asked myself many hard questions which I have no definite answers to; I think I may have put some things into perspective - which is why I’m finally settling for a while.
I think I’ve mentioned before, I don’t like it here. People move quickly but haphazardly. I’ve been stumbling and struggling to move in sync with the rush hour crowd, only to realize that there isn’t any synchrony. Even schools of fishes swim gracefully in formation, effortlessly reforming and dispersing. Even New Yorkers seem to move in sync. Why are we so unbecoming?
Someone had said that when you go overseas, you come back and view your home country as a foreign land. There is much truth in it but I’ve also come to realize that where I call home now may not be home in the years to come...
This thought is unsettling, yet hopeful at the same time; I will pray about it.
