so i guess everyone has their own "beginning of term" entry...well this is just that...
WELCOME TO UGA!
population: too damn many to count
I'm sure the fact that i'm halfway into my second week of school violates the laws for the first of term entry..but who cares about rules? first off let me make clear that this is the most amazing place ever, even if i dont constrantly realize it. there are a few things i regret for this year already...but i think i can overcome those regrets, and turn this into a massivly possitive experience for myself. well we might as well hop right into my life and go straight to daily routine:
Monday - Thursday: russian
Monday & Wednesday - sociology
Monday, Wednesday & Friday - calculus
Wednesday - calculus lab
Tuesday & Thursday - philosophy
Friday - sociology discussion group
so as you can see...i have my work cut out for me. but isn't that why i'm in school in the first place? i guess i have my head in the right place...but i often wonder is it too far in the right place? am i going to miss out on something? maybe an all night cram session? or an all morning crash session? or some other thing that most college students experience but i'm too responcible to attain? i never thought being grown up would hinder my good times.
but back to school:
*russian class is amazing! i'm learning so much! a new alphabet and new words...not to mention the whole structure of russian grammar.
*sociology is one of those classes. and by that i mean the ones that have 120+ people in them and you can easily fall asleep in...yeah so its hard to keep my eyelids open in that class
*philosophy is my kind of class! the professor is insane and on speed, and the reading material is exactly in the format i think in...so its like i read what i already think!
*calculus is an interesting venture...i dont need it to graduate...i need it to keep me on my toes...
*calculus lab is another interesting venture...although its b/c the professor barely speaks english...but i guess i understand him the best of all the class...or maybe its just me that thinks his jokes are funny...
*sociology discussion group is the class i look forward to...why? the T.A. is hot...nuff said.
so there you have it. school as it is now. kicks the crap out of high school, right?
thought so
