Never enough happy posts these days, huh?
My mom just found out that a friend of hers was killed a month ago near Lake Natoma because he was gay. People can be so cold and ignorant.
I didn't personally know him that well.I've met him a few times. He was my mom's traveling buddy. They would go on trips to Vegas with their other co-workers.
He was a nice guy who had a big heart. He was hilarious. I remember the first time I met him he told me he got a new pet. He didn't know if it was a dog or a cat because it looked funny. =]
He was originally from Fiji and whenever he went back home he would always remember to bring us back something.
I only noticed on the news today when I saw his picture. One of the guys responsible for his murder was caught, the other one is in Russia. The both allegedly have ties to some Russian mob.
