Leaving on a Jet Plane
For those of you who remember John Denver!!!
We are headed out of the country again. Leaving tomorrow for Bangkok where we will spend a couple of days not sightseeing per se,since this is our 4th or 5th time there, and we have visited the temples and all. However, we love to roam the side streets and take water taxi rides along the river and klongs (canals) and watch the people doing their lives.
From there we fly to Yangon (Rangoon) where we will spend a few days and then head north to Mandalay and into the hinterlands with guide. Here again this is a return visit, but the scenes are so wonderful and our local guides take us to peoples' homes (including visits with their own families) and it is all so wonderfully different from Los Angeles.
I will try and update where I can....hard to say where there is wireless. China was 100% wired, and I know Thailand is too. Not sure of Myanmar but we will see..
